✿ Spring brings new beginnings, fresh starts, and, of course, flowers. Flowers come with many different meanings and many of them are used in a way to show love, admiration and joy.

Open from the March 21st to June 1st, the Fashion Team's 'Eau De Fleur' event is available to all K-Vanity members. Use the prompts below, create a work to celebrate the coming of Spring and the language of flowers. ✿

“Spring is when life’s alive in everything.” – Christina Rossetti

– Yellow Roses: When the person you had a crush on said that they’d buy you roses, you didn’t expect them to give you roses that represented friendship.

– Cherry Blossoms: You make a promise to meet your childhood crush at your hometown’s festival after not seeing each other for years.

– Yellow Camellia: You thought you were over your ex until they showed up at your door with a bouquet of yellow camellias and told you they missed you.

– Red Roses:  A dozen red roses turn up at your door with a romantic but simple message inside, but no word on who they're from. Who could your secret admirer be?

– Sunflower: You come home late from work one night to discover a trail of petals leading into the bedroom. Your partner gives you the perfect end to a stressful day.

– Forget Ne Nots: Your first love leaves for college, knowing you have to end your relationship as you won't see each other for a while, you make a promise to meet up in your special place once a year. But what does it mean when one of you forgets?

– Morning Glory: Every year on your birthday, your best friend has given you a bouquet of morning glories, along with a note promising to be the best friend that they can be. What will happen when the note included with the annual flowers has promises of a different kind of love and care instead?

– Jacaranda: You've been broken up with your ex for months without your family knowing, so when your sister gets married, you're forced to bring him as your plus one, not knowing she's getting married under the same jacaranda tree that used to be your spot.

– Red Peonies: You are hired as the wedding planner for your friend’s wedding. When you hand your friend the arrangement of red peonies, you can’t help but meet the eyes of your longtime crush and notice the look of deep emotions in their eyes.

– Red Spider Lily: It’s your last night in the town full of red spider lilies, and you are never coming back. You decide to make it count and spend it with the person you will miss the most. The only thing is — they don’t know you are leaving.

– Sweet Pea: On one random holiday every year, your partner buys you flowers. Each bouquet or bloom is accompanied by a lengthy, thoughtful explanation of the flower’s meaning and how it relates to your relationship. This time, they brought sweet peas.

– Bluebell: "It's said that if you turn a bluebell inside-out without tearing it, you'll win the one you love the most." They say as they dare you to play one of the games at the outdoor festival.

Not Your Shoujo Love Story

Love can be quirky and wonderful or dark and gloomy... but isn't it more interesting when it's drawn or animated? It's that time of year again where love is in the air, but this time in 2D! K-Vanity would like to introduce our newest event for Cupid's day: Not Your Shoujo Love Story!

This event will be based on your favorite animes and mangas dealing with romance.

Event Details: You must create a story or a work of visual art based off of shojo animes or mangas. Some examples are:

Maid-sama Fruits Basket Your Name NANA Kamisama Kiss My Happy Marriage Whisper Of The Heart Snow White With The Red Hair Paradise Kiss

You are not limited to the animes or mangas listed above and it also does not have to be 100% accurate to the material. Just make sure you reference it somewhere in your description.

For writers, the drabbles/oneshots can be fluff, angst, smut or a combination of either. It has to be at least 500 words.

Spring Fling— A K-Vanity event

Spring is all about new beginnings and transformations— starting fresh and starting over. There are many traditions around the world that celebrate this wonderful season and K-Vanity is inviting you to our exclusive event: Spring Fling!

Imagine yourself throwing colorful powder in India or going the Teotihuacán Pyramid in Mexico dressed in all white. In this event, you will create either fiction or visual art about your favorite idols and the many spring traditions around the world 💮

Writers:

You must create a piece of fiction that clearly includes a spring tradition. Here are some ideas you can use below (you aren't limited to these) :
