"Tommy-" It comes from far away. Tommy groans. His head is pounding. Someones screaming, sirens piercing through a blare of car horns. Everything hurts. "…Tommy." It's sobbed this time, desperate, pained. Tommy's eyes flutter open. He shuts them immediately, red and blue lights immediately printing themselves into the backs of his eyelids. Nausea threatens as the world tilts, and he heaves. Ribs pulling, chest refusing to rise properly, Tommy throws an aching arm out. "Evan?" He calls. His hand comes up empty. Panic, immediate and urgent, slams into him. He wheezes. Tommy forces his eyes open, blinks past the blood in his eyes, the way it rushes to his head. He's upside down.

When The Lilacs Are In Bloom 2026

I had a whole post drafted and for whatever reason it didn't say so here I go again.

Anyway, I almost finished it on time and then stuff happened and I also got sick. So yeah. Late again. Random fact: you can't really see it all that well, but it's an edited photo of the lilacs growing next to my home.

So, the necklace. It is the main point of this drawing, and if you are familiar with my works, the same necklace appears in a lot of them (especially the ones including Kai). In real life it is a locket I have owned since I was like 10. The first necklace has a piece of paper with Kai's name written on it. I wore it so much during elementary school, then in middle school, then for some time in high school, that it is pretty worn now, so I keep the original in a small box on my Beyblade shelf. I managed to buy another, identical one, and I wear it to all beyblade tournaments that I attend. But the original one is safely stored.

The necklace (or the locket?) used to have a pretty extensive lore I sadly don't remember anymore (because it's been like 20 years since then). What I do remember is that the kid me originally imagined getting it as a gift from Kai. The theme reoccurs in a lot of my self-inserts actually.
