laundry duty ft. @kwaugust
sore and tired jaye turns his key and steps into the shared apartment with a sigh of relief. the blistering heat did nothing but male the walk back from the gym that much more unbearable, but it was a decision he made to cancel out reality for a moment in time. a missed call from his sister goes unanswered, wanting to first take a shower before doing anything else.
but even there were obstacles before that. he’s sure that august was home when he spot the usual pair of shoes when he walked in. the other was probably in his own world and most nights jaye respects that, leaving him alone, but a glance inside his drawer brought the corners of his mouth to turn into a frown. he’s neither upset or disappointed, it’s not the first time (and he’s sure that even after today it wouldn’t be the last) something of his disappeared and he’s certain it was just a mistake. like always.
he doesn’t bother knocking when he approaches august’s room, swinging the door open effortlessly as he walks inside.
“aye mate.” there’s something comforting speaking in english. honestly it was a prayer answered when he found a roommate that was fluent and one of the better things that happened that year he met the younger male. “you had laundry duty last week, right? i can’t find a pair of mine and i’m willing to bet you’re wearing them again.”
