Leisure time in fall... Part 1
As the light blue sky surrenders its hue to the loom of stormy clouds, I begin making my way to Bulithando Park, Kwa-Thema, enjoying the vast, open scenery. Located 50 kilometres east of Johannesburg, Kwa-Thema provides the serene atmosphere reminiscent of my childhood in the North West: children playing on the dusty roads, and young men preparing for a game of Sunday League football.
Along the way, waltzing down Shabangu Street, a feint rainbow ahead greats me, behind a freshly planted tree in all its bounteous beauty. I loved how the rainbow rises up seemingly from the trees, as if leading to the proverbial pot of gold.
