Today I did a touch up over someone else's work. I used to turn clients away for this, however I now look at it differently; I am flattered that they found me and chose me to do their next round of brows. I cant guarantee that the result will look like brows I have done on 'virgin' brows but I feel comfortable enough to work with what is existing as well as the clients brow goals. There are exceptions though, I can't always work over others work. This client had her brows done by a local reputable artist, which made me confident that I wasn't entering bad territory. We modified the shape slightly to elongate them and soften the arch, so you may notice some faded pigment that was left untouched to continue to fade. Swipe 👉 to see before, but keep in mind, brows dont always look as good on camera as they do in life, especially when they are faded (these were over a year old). I followed the artist's previous strokes where I could and added my personal touch where I could. . Please keep in mind that microblading is the new norm, and while we all have to start somewhere, always research your artist to ensure multiple credentials by reputable trainers, see healed work, and find out experience. It took me nearly 4 years to really understand the skin, to see how pigment heals in the skin and fades over time. I have worked with 4 of the top pigment lines worldwide, each for over a year to study how it changes over time. If you are going to have previous microblading redone by another artist, make sure they have a few years in and multiple certifications. If you aren't a fan of my style but need advice on other artists or what to like for, I am always glad to refer.
