warmer weather meant that you were likely to find yohan outside, soaking up all the sunlight he could get like a plant left on a shelf in a dark room. the last few months he's been tucking himself away, working at night to try and make the use of the long hours his insomnia gives him.
but today he's determined to relax. so instead of heading to the gym, he pulls his board out from underneath his bed and catches the bus to the local park. it seems like everyone else also had the same idea and the park is a lot more packed than he expected. but he's not too worried about it, instead he pulls on his favorite hat, drops his board, and pushes off. it's been so long since he's skated but yohan falls into it as easy as breathing and it's not long until he's moving past a few people learning to skate with ease.
the worries he's been carrying for the past few days seem to fall away and he relaxes into the familiar movement and the sound of the wheels on the concrete. here he's not choi yohan anymore, instead he's just a stranger on a board trying and failing to do a kickflip while listening to pop music.
