Reines had been sleeping quite peacefully. After all she had gone through recently, she probably deserved it. With the gentle clatter of the train tracks and the soft rocking of the car, she probably could have stayed asleep for a few more hours.

The loud horn that sounded had other ideas and seemed intent to startle her awake. She jumped from where she had been settled into one of the booths. The rough wool blanket slid to the floor with a dull thump, tearing her warmth away with it.

It was a new world yet again. And if she wasn’t mistaken, across the otherwise empty train car was quite honestly one of the worst people to be stuck here with.

“How long have you been there? And... I don’t suppose you know what we’ve been thrown into?” Perhaps Kirei had gathered intel while she was asleep.

      Honestly, why is he bothering to go there? The Mistwood is, allegedly, a dangerous place to wander unprepared. And since he’s completely unable to use Projection, the only weapon to his name is... a pipe. He can Reinforce the pipe, but it’s still not completely reliable. And yet, he kept going in. At least he’s keeping to the outskirts where various housing can be found. Saber had given him the general idea of how this place works-- how familiar faces can come and go seemingly at random. And at the moment... there’s one that might end up facing soon.

          “All the way out here...? Hm, it really is similar to that other place...“ A church on a hill, the mist akin to a shroud. Is that man truly inside...? The fake priest that Rin rarely ever wanted to speak of since the War ended? There’s no reason to be here-- and yet... His hand is pushing open the door, not even bothering to knock.

      it was stupid of her to run like she did.

what had she told Hakuno? that they can’t leave the path, no matter what was seen or heard. and yet, here she was, a prime example of being unable to follow her own damn advice. though the brunette had taken off first, Ritsuka had moved to follow her and yet, she failed to.  but it could not be helped. a horrible excuse, she knows, but what else could she have done? stand there and pretend that the glimpse of red & blue and pale hair wasn’t there? her legs moved on their own, dashing after the sight. yet no matter how much she had ran and ran and ran, she couldn’t reach her. 

        just like at  █ █ █ █ █ █ , her cries fell on deaf ears.

        it wasn’t until her only companion was an unsettling quiet did she realize: she was all alone.  it wasn’t for long. when she saw a figure approach, she had assumed it to be another trick of the mist. but the telling sign of a priest’s attire and a familiar face had her shoulders sagging. 

     “ Kirei. You’re out here, too?”

His was not one face to forget. Spotless on this occasion, the ever-present lack of light in his eyes could eclipse the sun on a good day, ready to plunge those in their line into eternal darkness. The man known as the priest was a rare entity who could boil her blood from his mere manifestation — a cursed reminder of a dark hour.

The girl remained on-guard; even a second without it raised could spell death. Within the Spirale Singularity, his motivations for clashing head-on with Chaldea were potential cut down at the knee, but any such assumption was careless. Dangerous. Ideally, she would retaliate, act on emotion alone to avenge Da Vinci, inflict the same anguish onto him that Kadoc had suffered. But losing her head would only result in the same happening literally if too far on his bad side. Gripping the core of Camelot, her heels carried her weight, preparation for a swift relocation should anything happen. For all the tranquil and magical nature around them, the air surrounding the Shielder burned with ire. “I don’t know if you’re here on her orders or by some prank by the Stars, but if you have any intention of causing trouble, you’ll be sorely disappointed. So long as it can be helped, you won’t raise a hand against anyone else”.

Of course, one of the first things that Koishi would do in a new enviroment is wander around, and that she did. Getting lost and finding new, exciting things in return, was somewhat of a specialty of hers; and after traversing a part of the forest ( she vaguely remembers it being called ‘Mistwood’, or something ), she stumbles across a rather quaint building. 

A small gasp and a “wow!” escapes her lips as she quickly rushes towards it. While unsure of what the building was, or if it even had a purpose, it didn’t hurt to take a little peek inside, right?

She would have hoped that if a familiar face had been present within the Church of Onoma, it would be Jehanne. Unfortunate as it were, that wasn’t the case. Saber might have desired to speak with the maiden in person, determine how things were for the holy girl with whom she shared a resemblance. However, in Ruler’s place, was a man she would much rather see in the depths of Hell: a ghost of the past, who refused to leave the physical realm behind. The sight of the priest had Saber bristle habitually. Between the Fourth and Fifth Grail Wars, his part in Chaldea’s fall, the reasons by which to despise the man were perchance more plentiful than most others she could think of in the moment.

“If only it were possible to deem this a surprise, but you certainly don’t know when to quit, do you?” It was, however, a blessing that he and Kiritsugu, Irisviel or Shirou had not been in the city simultaneously, though a slim silver lining was it, subject to change at any moment under an eclipse. With some bitterness writhing beneath the skin, a sharp and stern glare fixed itself upon the phantom bathed in moonlight streamed in.

Kicking the doors of a church might be seen as heretical by anyone religious, but Medb, practically a goddess in different versions of her own mythology, seemed not to care. Not getting what it was she desired was just unacceptable, obviously. It was far worse than anything that might come from trying to break down property of any church.

The windows and doors had all been coated in the snow like diamonds that had fallen from the sky. The Rider, who had come inspecting the church upon a whim, had not expected to be trapped within the building (and certainly not so quickly). The man across the room didn’t seem to share Medb’s sentiment.

Pausing in her assault, the Rider turned to him with a nasty glare.

“Are you going to do something, or are you just going to stand there?!”
