“DiscoveryZone” by TrippyThaKid
If anyone’s got the potential to rise from the underground and become a legitimate star, it’s TrippyThaKid. On the spectrum of white rappers, he’s like if MGK had a sense of melody and sense of humor, or if G-Eazy didn’t have the most nasally rap voice ever, or if Post Malone could rap his ass off in addition to being an incredible song writer. The only piece missing is a proper marketing push and an attention to detail when it comes to packaging, and I think Trippy’s got the choice to either be an independent force a la Bones or Pouya, or a mainstream star like the other aforementioned artists. This dude is pure potential in its rawest form.

1. What’s the story behind your multiple rap names, “TrippyThaKid” & “KY85”?
TrippyThaKid is just me mane(since I started soundcloud), KY85 is my robotic form lmao. Late.night.hike and BLUNT are also names I go by, and they are all different stages of my life and basically the way I felt at the time.
2. What is “Moon Movement” and who are its members?
MoonMovement was a bunch of dope artists but now is just me and my hometown fam 2HourMarc, Dana P, Gibby Stites, and Lonely God. I will be bringing it back next year super strong with a lot of dank artists.
3. How would you describe the creation process of the “Supa Trippy” mixtape with Supa Sortahuman?
DOPE AF! I literally recorded all the tracks in 2 sessions and sent the vocals to Joey and Supa and they fixed it up and sent everything back within the week. We did a lot of talking bout it at first but when we started recording we killed it fast af.
4. How did you link up with, and what’s it like working with, Noxik, aka Noah Munck, aka Gibby from iCarly?
Noah is the frickin homie man. I hit him up letting him know I bumped his tracks heavy and that my homies all loved it. Dude hits me back and was down to work right away! such a humble cool dude with the same humor as me lol. We get along very well
5. Who are three rappers that you grew up listening to and influenced the way you make music?
Tbh my musical influences are more like Blink 182, The Beatles, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Classic rock - 90s Punk rock is what got me into music. BUT top 3 rappers/groups Big Pun, Organized Konfusion and Tech N9ne!
6. Anything else you’d like to add?
I LOVE THE UNDERGROUND SCENE! STAY HUMBLE, LOVE LIFE, AND STOP FINESSIN THE GOOD GUYS

"Road to Retribution" by Yung Xela
There’s a hand full of popular soundcloud rappers that, given the right cosigns and blog placements, could blow up overnight. Yung Xela is one of those rappers and “Road to Retribution” is his fifth full length reason why. If you’re in the business of breaking artists, this is one the dudes to look out for.
