Internet Hippy Live Stream 09/14/2017

So live streaming is the latest expansion of the Internet Hippy brand, and yeah, it’s a lot of fun. You guys should come through some time and hangout, and if you’re an artist or you just wanna hear my reaction to an underground artist you like, I can play 10 songs of your choosing for $10. I’m gonna be doing it as regularly as possible, and I think it’ll  be a great way for me to put you guys on to some dope artists, as well the other way around. Internet Hippy Live Stream 01/13/18

It’s been a minute since the last live stream, but we’re right back at it, this time with music from Anwat555, Willis, SLen, & Prince Viper. Anwat comes with a whole range of styles, including boom-bap, which landed him his first million play track, as well as trap shit, plug beat shit, and more. Willis drops off his take on the popular emo/guitar trap shit, sounding like he’d fit right in with Gothboiclique. SLen does hardcore mixed with monotone vocals that would impress any fan of Bones or OmenXIII. Finally, Prince Viper has a style all his own I think can be best summed up as cloud trap. Together, it’s a great mix of music that contains at least one artist you’re guaranteed to dig.

Internet Hippy Live Stream 10/01/17 (feat. SeKwence, Judas Ischariot, CoolaidHippy, & TrippyThaKid)

Episode three of the Internet Hippy live stream put us on to some hella underrated, upcoming artists. SeKwence is an Earl Sweatshirt-influenced, pure-spitter that can kill a boom-bap or trap beat. Judas Ischariot is a low-key artist with a modest following, but with more talent that artists a hundred times his size. CoolaidHippy opened my eyes to the extremely deep talent pool of the underground Philly scene. Finally, TrippyThaKid is the most talented, highest potential artist in the entire underground, and I just had to show you a few of my favorite tracks of his.

“Lace” by Jayyeah

Off top, Jayyeah and Fifty Grand might be the only two underground artists who are dope enough at production and vocals to make compelling music of both types. I can just as easily sit through an instrumental Jayyeah project, as I can a Cold Hart project, and that’s not something many people can do.
