@kybercor
the rebellion was all he had known, all he had dedicated his life to. his little life, his morals, his heart--- none of it mattered at all when there was an empire to fight back against. but here, there was no rebellion. here, he could be just cassian, something he hadn’t been in near two decades. it was a daunting thing.
at least the surroundings were familiar, in a way. beige and browns; sand. almost looking like a war-zone in itself, he thought, running his fingers over the deltan walls, etched with symbols of which he could not discern the meanings. he had to get to the surface, find something else that he could arm himself with that did not look like a children’s toy.
...but then again, cassian had only been a still child himself when he first picked up a real rifle, hadn’t he?
how long he had been wandering, he was not entirely sure. there was too much to take in, there was still too much to make sense of. but then ----- he had only known her for a short while, didn’t know her very well at all. but it was almost immediate, how he recognised her.
