Ugh I hate the taste of protein powder too but I need it or I won't recover after training leading to an achey body the next day. Bloody hell DOMS.
I don’t mind it in small doses -- half a scoop in a smoothie is fine -- but I get so grossed out by the texture if it’s more than that.
DOMS is such a bitch, though! When I first started working out I curled too much bicep weight and had awful DOMS, I think it was about four days where I couldn’t straighten my arm. Also definitely achey today, but no specific muscle groups, just all over.

If you can get it by you try the core power protein drinks. They taste almost like a chocolate milkshake. They don't have anyway or soy taste to them. It's about the only thing I can stomach when I'm going through a protein aversion phase
