Kyiv Day occurs on the last Sunday in May every year, and this year it was celebrated in conjunction with the destruction of 58 out of 59 drones launched by Russia on Kyiv during the night. 🇺🇦💙💛🇺🇦 #Repost @ukraine.ua with @use.repost . . . UPD: 58 out of 59 drones were shut down, according to the updated information by the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Record-breaking. 52 out of 54 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 drones launched by Russia this night were shut down by Ukrainian defenders. That's the record number of drones Russian terrorists used against our country in a single attack. For Kyiv, it was the 14th air attack in May. The alert lasted over 5 hours, so Kyivans lived through multiple explosions practically all night. In the capital, drone debris damaged several residential and non-residential buildings. One person was killed, and two were injured. In the Zhytomyr region, an infrastructure object was hit, no casualties were reported. Russian terrorists often choose symbolic days to attack Ukraine. Today, despite the explosions and sleepless night, the whole country still will celebrate Kyiv Day and its resilience, rich history, and unbreakable spirit. Edited · 11h
