Her photographic books include The Rockefeller Family Home, Kykuit and Mr. Rockefellerʼs Roads. She is a passionate supporter of the arts and a longtime trustee of the Vermont Studio Center and The Friends of the Morrill Homestead. Pierson earned a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. Pierson’s photography focuses on landscape and architecture. Works in progress include different series—Venice, Virgin Gorda, Maine—as well as historic homes and architectural details and macabre series like "Strewn About.” Trained in painting and illustration, Pierson is attracted to textures, details, and whimsical composition.
