Our 277th feature of the year is from multi-instrumentalist Kyle O'Quin, who has been a part of many experimental, artsy indie rock bands over the years (Gatsbys American Dream, Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground, and Portugal. the Man, to name just a few). On his 2013 eponymous debut (actually recorded quite a few years ago), O'Quin presents eleven easy-to-recommend, introspective piano-rooted songs clearly inspired by the era of The Beatles after they discovered illicit drugs.
