Binged watched Season 2 of Sweet Magnolias (spoilers ahead) and find myself more invested in the teen's drama than anyone else's. Now don't get me wrong, I'm liking the Jackson and Annie dynamic and think it's sweet and a good story, but I will forever been a Ty and Annie fan.

The thing I am absolutely obsessed with is when in episode 9 Ty and Helen are talking about first loves and Helen mentions how you compare everyone else to them, talking about how they have a different sense of humor or a weird taste in music, etc. And Ty lists "a simpler coffee order" and asks if you can come back to your first love (😆)

AND THEN the next thing we see is him hearing Jackson order ANNIE'S COMPLICATED COFFEE ORDER!!! and he knows exactly who it's for and smiles when talking about Annie and brings her up.

AND THEN we see him giving looks at her when she comes by the house to drop off the vases and hears his song and she acts so awkward when Ty says it's good to see her (not so much when Kyle does)

(and I'm completly going to ignore the fact that he calls her and Kyle the best people/his favorite people while she follows it up by saying "you're like the brothers I never wanted" 😑)

My Sweet Magnolias season 2 unpopular opinion

I actually like Annie with Jackson instead of Ty. Its like he’s never really looked at her as a love interest. Maybe he liked her but after years of friendship the sibling relationship came over the possibility of romantic relationship. It’s like Kyle and Annie; she sees him as a little brother while he had a crush on her.

I feel like ty’s got a bunch of shit he needs to sort out before even get with anybody. He can’t talk about Jackson and Annie while his girlfriend is in front of him trying to spend more time with him despite her busy schedule; you know the saying “if he wanted to, he would” and she really wanted to but at that moment she could tell that he didn’t want to. Good on her honestly for not apologising because she really didn’t do anything wrong.

Maybe just me but Kyle’s story still sort of pushed aside. Like we don’t see him process with all the things that had happened on his own. He’s always with someone and all we know is he’s angry. Like Ty we see him deal with his dilemma of not being able to play baseball i mean that’s only one scene but still, we see him deal with it. I don’t know how to form this thought properly but do you get it?

Also Annelise Judge who plays Annie looks like Mary Mouser who plays Samantha LaRusso in Cobra Kai right?!?!? I can’t be the only one

I don’t know man i mean they don’t look identical but at the same time they do don’t they?!!??

So i watched the new season of Sweet Magnolias and here are my thoughts

At first I wanna say: If you want to share your thoughts and opinions about my thoughts, I would appreciate to stay respectful. A little discussion about the new season actually can be fun!

So those are my thoughts (spoilers ahead!) :

I adore the relationship between Jackson and Annie! Of course i wanna see her with Ty but i like the possibility of a jealousy trope (in a healthy manner). Jackson seems really sweet and makes Annie happy. Plus the kissing scenes??? so adorable.

Personally I would have liked to see way more scenes of Nellie! The actress seems so sweet and it would have been nice to see quite more scenes between her and Kyle.

The conflict between the families is gonna be like a Romeo and Juliet trope and I'M HERE FOR IT.

I have no idea who the woman in the end is, but i suspect an old enemy from the sweet magnolias? or a crazy ex?

Cece is not my favorite. I believe the actress is really sweet, but I couldn't sympathise with her. It seems so forced with her and Ty and i don't believe she loved him either.

We saw a flawed Maddie, which i quite enjoyed. The relationship with Cal was so long over the top good that I already suspected some kind of twist.

Cal surprised me but not in a good way. Violence is a very complicated and serious topic. It gives him more flaws and character depth but I'm excited how it plays out in season 3.

Helen is a angel who deserves the world. I mean it. She better not say yes to Ryan. Eric is perfect for her.

Dana Sue was a little bit annoying. I liked Ronnie, he seemed like a nice guy who really worked on his mistakes. I didn't like how controlling Dana Sue is over Annie. Let the girl breathe for once!

Kyle's issues were good developed as well as Ty's. I wish we would see more siblings scenes.

Noreen is quite a good person, even though i don't like her actress.

Bill? what is going on with your sperm? Is it your superpower or what?

Isaac's story wasn't my favorite one. I already suspected Peggy but i really enjoyed the performance of the actor.

the outifts ????! all absolutely gorgeous! They really embodied the whole show. Already looking out for similar outifts

It was a wild ride the whole season but i enjoyed it a lot! It's a good-feel show and leaves a warm feeling. I'm so excited for the third season (pls netflix don't cancel it i swear to god) and i cross my fingers for more tyannie scenes!
