I let you go
Because I let you down
I had nothing left to show you
All I do is hold you down
I’m doing this for you
Don’t pick me up off the ground
Leave me where I’m found
In this life that I’ve been bound.
Maybe in time
You’ll open your eyes
And see you were blind
All of the time

Darkness trapped
Behind the door
Ignorance hidden
Under the floor
I think you slipped my mind today
I hope you know I feel okay.
I guess that’s all I have left to say.
Just wanted to let you know

Just another day
Yesterday and today
Are the same thing.
There has to be a way
To fight this pain I’m in
No one is around because
I keep blaming them.
Why is everything gray
Why do I live this way
I'm not stalling. I know why I'm here.
It's not you that I fear. You are everything that I want.
It's just that I'm here, surrounded by walls of sadness
They just bleed and echo my cry.
For I fear that I will die here, all alone.
Cold & Broken with no one to hold my hand.
I want you me and paradise. Our feet in the sand.
But then I remember,
I'm still in the ocean. looking for land.
I’d rather take a risk
Then wonder what if,
I’d rather know I failed
Then know I didn’t bother
I wonder do you trust me?
I’ve already made a move,
And your still thinking
Why do you care now?
Because you didn’t before
It seems kind of strange
Now that I’m above you
You seem to want to talk now,
Before you would walk away
You chose that way and that’s
Where you’ll stay.
I don’t need you beside me
I don’t need you to guide me
Stop saying my name like I owe you
Stop saying my name like I know you.
