This would be a different adventure for once, this farm feeling far more collected than a few of the others she'd visited. A lot of...pink, really. She'd heard little about the farmer that resided within but everything had seemed to be good. Katherine muttered to herself as she took a few steps towards the cabin, pale hands wrapped tight around the bottle of wine she customarily brought with her as an introductory gift. "H-hello?"

There was a moment of silence with Katherine standing in front of the cabin. The moment quickly turned into long seconds, and then minutes, and she found herself waiting at the door for nearly ten minutes before she turned around to walk back when she heard some voices around the corner of the house.

Around the corner were two people: Abigail, wielding a wooden sword at the ready, and presumably, the farmer, Shohei, who had their back turned towards Katherine. They took their hand out of their pocket and beckoned her forward with two fingers. Abigail’s posture tensed and she gripped her sword tighter before she launched herself forward to attack.

Shohei smiled, shaking their head and readied themselves to dodge Abigail’s swings. It was almost like they were dancing, with the way they bobbed and weaved their body around her; a small smirk was starting to curve around their lips as they sidestepped each attack without unsheathing their own sword.

Abigail let out a frustrated yell, the amount of exertion without any payoff getting to her, and raised her sword for one final attack. Shohei used their still sheathed sword, blocking hers from striking their face, and grabbed her arm, using their weapon and momentum to disarm her and throw her to the ground at the same time. Her wooden sword was sent flying in Katherine’s direction before it clattered to the ground by her feet.

There was an exchange between the two for a few minutes until Shohei finally offered a hand to Abigail to lift her up. They both turned around, looking for where Shohei flung the wooden sword, and their eyes fell upon Katherine’s figure by the porch. 

“Ah- Sorry,“ Shohei quickly said in a noticeably accented voice. They walk over to her direction, picking up the sword and letting it rest on their shoulder. “I didn’t realize I would be having company.“

“Um…“ Their inflection became a little more nervous. “Who are you?“
