She usually wears an over-sized blue t-shirt, with grey shorts that no one sees under it; Kymma is always barefooted, and she leaves red footprints everywhere, like if she had stepped on blood, even though her feet are perfectly clean.

It's a puzzle, a kind of game. They write things, and whoever reads them has to figure out who they are writing about. In my case, I rarely get it right. But that's not the point, the fun is all in searching for little traces, trying to discover what is accidental and what is on purpose, noticing every detail and following even the tiniest clues, like one of them always does.
