It is a story about badd actors and those they seek to dominate. There is no talk of woke aristocracy freeing' people, when the most prominent rebel unit the 21st United States Colored Troops. That liberated Charleston Virginia on February 18, 1865. The Civil War didn’t start with the shelling of Fort Sumter and ending with Lee's surrender at Appomattox. It starts with the Nat Turner 1831 rebellion or the Haitian revolution to the 15th amendment. The themes regarding how the freedom liberators (free slaves) of the war went about establishing economic, educational and community institutions for `the New Day.' Its about retelling hundreds of stories pulled from people sources despite the white washing... it’s a balance accounts from multitude of individual stories recounted of many small and disconnected efforts for true freedom. The story about Lee and Grant is, after all, the accepted version.
