Since I shared that snippet of dcmk omegaverse, I figured I'd share more thoughts on my planned pack for it!
Putting it under a read more because it got a bit long lol
First off, it has polyamory because that's how I roll lol plus dabbling into non-typical situations with abo, like having packs made up of romantic, queerplatonic, and platonic bonds and, most importantly, allusions to being intersex via scent not matching secondary sex.
The main ships I'm thinking of so far are: kaishinran (both Kaito and Ran are romantically dating Shinichi, but not each other); seran (Ran is also dating Sera, who has a sibling like relationship with Shinichi); heikazu (Heiji and Kazuha are romantically dating and Heiji has a queerplatonic relationship with Shinichi; likewise, Kazuha has a queerplatonic bond with Ran); kyosono (Sonoko and Makoto are romantically dating and Sonoko has a deep bond with Ran and Shinichi); and hakuaoaka (Aoko is dating both Hakuba and Akako, but they aren't dating each other; Aoko and Kaito have a sibling like bond)
The idea is that, after his body settles after the cure for APTX4869, Shinichi's secondary sex changes as an after effect. While he still smells like a beta, he becomes an omega. And thus has to deal with that and how that essentially changes how he interacts with others and vice versa.
He gets his first heat (thus learning he's now an omega) on his nineteenth birthday (so it's a university aged idea lol). Which is also how the "main" components of what become his pack learn too: Ran and Heiji. As well as Sonoko, Kazuha, and Sera. (Makoto and Kaito learn later.) That's when essentially the pack forms as Shinichi immediately clings to Ran and Heiji as his safe people during his heat.
Once through his heat, everyone gets to figure how to make this work and whether or not it changes their friendship dynamics. (Spoilers: It does. Lol)
This is my opinion based on the relationships between all the characters. I also added another for colleagues and others. This is a fucking mess of a chart.
Oh btw, I was originally gonna add the Akai siblings and the Miyano sisters as cousins but then I forgot.
I would love a Makoto spin-off 🤩 like ZTT but an SoL/sports one.
starting with little Makoto, then he meeting Sonoko, the reencounter (how did he feel when he saw his crush was there? I would love to see it 😆), the beginning of the relationship (basically a retelling, on his POV) all that while we see his life as an athlete (him training and fighting).
and then we would see his life overseas, in this point, the manga would be 80% a sports one and 20% SoL/rom-com with Sonoko cameos 🤩
the name could be "Prince of Kicks's Isotonic Time" 😂
