Like catnip for sin eaters

It was only a brief concern that crossed Emet Selch's mind as he began to walk away. No, the boy will be fine, he mused. He can take care of himself more than he knows. His hand waved back to Kyrien absently, a casual reflex. "Keep out of trouble while I'm out - won't be long." He let the sentence hang in the air, waiting for Kyrien's response. "And before you ask, no, I do not require any assistance for this outing."

Kyrien, meanwhile, struggled under the grasp of the two sin eaters. Confound the rules of Eulmore that allow these things free walk over the town - why were they always too close to him? His attention flickered, brought back by Emet Selch's voice, though it was not enough to distract him from the cold, marble-like fingers gripping his arm and ruffling through his hair. "Then, please take care!" Kyrien managed to get his response out right as the Ascian disappeared in a veil of shadow, heading to gods know where.

"And come back soon..."

"Now, Kyrie, you said you'd be diplomatic..."

"Mmhmm."

"We're just going to talk to them, alright? Like you said."

"Mmmhm."

*sighing* "...At least give them a few seconds to run..."

"Mmhm!"

Kyrien Silverwings

one half of the Silverwings twin duo, one could argue that he is the "nicer" half, the "good" one, or at least the one more likely to hold a sensible day job

but beneath his plain exterior resides a connection to the same Dark well that Kyrie shares. that flicker of the lights as he walks by, the dimming of the candles in his presence - these hint at something hidden deep within his soul.

[somewhere, at Kyrie’s house]

Kyrie: “It’s very kind of you and all, to help my brother after what you did.”

Erebus: “Hmmm, yes, but I distinctly remember you threatening me with physical harm if I didn’t help create a new form for him.”

Kyrie: “Don’t worry about that so much. Now, erm, I see you made some alterations to his appearance...”

Erebus: “Aye, a shorter stature makes his job as a hunter easier.”

Kyrie: “...Are the ears supposed to help as well?”

Erebus: *eyebrows raise* “Well, I admit I was thinking how he lived similarly to the male Viera of this world, and perhaps that influenced the shape he ended up with...”

Kyrie: *stares*

Erebus: *flustered* “I’m sure he’ll be alright with it! He’s an adaptable lad, he’ll fit right in with the others!”

Kyrie: *folds arms*

Erebus: *eureka moment* “Oh, I understand! You would like to match his appearance, yes? That would make it more believable!”

Kyrie” *walks out* “...I’m outta here. Try anything silly and I really might break your fingers, Erebus.”
