imagining grace being extra clingy when regressed and rocky not knowing how to fix it so he just lets grace hold him in his hamster ball most of the time.

when he's not ultra clingy, grace and rocky play tag and when rocky chases grace, he purposely stays a few feet behind grace so he doesnt accidentally knock him down and hurt him (rocky's noticed that he's more clumsy when little, not that he knows why) and waits until he stops to turn around (to check that rocky is still behind him) until he slows down and lightly bumps into grace

and grace is a big cryer!!!!! sad? crying. angry? crying. happy? crying. doesnt know what he's feeling but its a lot? crying. this is usually what makes grace so clingy, especially happy tears and sad tears in particular

coming back to add this bc i just saw an edit of rocky telling grace "you are very brave" bc the way in which he says it has stuck with me since i first watched the movie and has stuck each time ive seen it because it is genuinely so sincere (and also heartbreaking) since this is one of the last things he thinks he will ever say to grace buuuuut all this to say, i think on very bad days when grace is super clingy and holding rocky's hamster ball and is nearly inconsolable, rocky likes to tell him affirmations since he cant hold him in return. sometimes it makes grace cry more and rocky feels bad, but grace reassures him that it's making him feel better
