About Doll: Sew a clothes that even a Stupid me could do
So I am getting more into doll lately (currently waiting for my first DD MDD) and newly joined this facebook group called BJD Sewing and Creating. It quite mind-opening and give me new knowledge like duct-tape technique. Heck, I didn’t even know that kind of technique are exist lol.
Anyway, I found out question about “How do I sew Obitsu 27 cm L Bust?” or “Do anyone have a pattern for Obitsu 27 cm L Bust?”
Coincidentally I do have an Obitsu 27 cm with L bust named Sayuki. I think I posted several of her photos here but since the pattern-of-experiment kinda complicated and the result is still quite a failure, I tried to make something that even a stupid me could understand and the result would be nice.
And so, the final result is like this:
What do you need?
1. A fabric with 26*22 cm size. I am using something like chiffon here and the length result will be about 10-11 cm since the fabric will be fold.
2. Elastic Thread.
3. Normal thread and needle/sewing machine.
How to make it?
1. From the 26*22 cm fabric I make a zig zag cut in each of 26 cm side so it somehow will have something like tinkerbell skirt.
2. I fold the fabric in the middle so the fabric size will be 26*11 cm. With elastic thread, sew the fabric on top and 3cm from top (you can check the picture). Don’t forget to make an end for one side and let the other side loose since we want to make wrinkles.
3. Then pull the sew and make the wrinkles nicely. Don’t forget the the final length after being wrinkled are about 8-9 cm.
4. Sew the ends together and flip it over. It’s done~ ♥♥♥
FINISH!!
Hopely this could help. Happy sewing everyone~ XD
