yo I just wanted to say that I love your blog and your point of view on the current state of hip hop. it's not one of the genres that I can say I've been into from a young age like I can with punk or other shit, but I dig the shit you post and check what you're posting about when im looking for new (or old) shit to check out bc I trust your opinion and you haven't let me down yet haha
thank you, good to know i haven’t let you down lol. honestly though i don’t think my opinions are any more valid or important than the next person, i just know bullshit when i see it. i wasn’t into hip hop at an early age either and i still don’t think i’m an expert or anywhere close to becoming one. i just wish that people would make an effort to be a little more open minded especially when it comes to the things they claim to be the most passionate about and try to educate themselves and explore what has become such a broad genre of music rather than just accept what’s spoonfed to them as being the only option.
