Get creative for CraftNight: Recycled Puppet Making Workshop with Invertigo Dance Theatre at the Craft & Folk Art Museum ($8 includes materials, drinks and snacks)

LACMA is having a free screening of Kicks, writer/director Justin Tipping's debut film, with the director and actors discussing the film afterwords

Unknown Mortal Orchestra are playing a free concert at the Santa Monica Pier with Steady Holiday

Film composer John Williams (of Star Wars fame) returns to the Hollywood Bowl to conduct music from various films with a selection of clips projected on the big screen (also Saturday and Sunday)
