Tagged by the lovely @ghibli - thank you for providing me with a wonderful Monday procrastination tool, hehehe.
Favourite colour: this one is so hard for me, because it really does depend on the day/my mood/the position of the moon and sun. Probably a soft, grey-based purple, like the colour you'd see on half-dried lavender, followed very closely by dusky pink and golden, sunny yellow.
Last song: last.fm says this was Bloc Party, The Prayer, which checks out. I've been on a Bloc Party bender the last few days.
Currently watching: Dimension 20: The Unsleeping City, and Sanningen S2 (do I remember what happened in S1, not at all, it's fine)
Currently reading: The Dark Tower: Wizard and Glass, which is 900 pages long and so slow, but I am enjoying it and we're in the home stretch now. I have Opinions™ on how I'd have written/published this, if it were mine.
Currently playing: nothing, I'm not a big gaming person these days, and I have yet to find time with the besties who would do a D&D campaign with me. One day...
Currently craving: I literally just finished breakfast, so nothing right now! 😂 (But perennially: cool, quiet mornings and long summer evenings, with lots of knitting and reading time. Where's my wealthy medieval patron?)
Coffee or tea: tea, usually - bog-standard breakfast tea with milk and no sugar. If I'm out and feeling fancy, I'll get an iced oat milk chai.
I could honestly tag every one of my mutuals, I love you guys, but since I can't list all of you here, I'm explicitly tagging @soleilnstuff, @hugger-of-trees, @peacockbluey, @dreadpiratedee, @time-converges and @businesscasualprincess, and anyone else who would like to do this can consider themselves blessed with permission to steal it from me.
I have been tagged by @thefaustaesthetic (a scholar and a visionary, whose works you should read if you have not already) to partake in a WIP meme, of which you all know I am extremely partial. So:
rules: make a 24hr poll listing the titles to every wip you want to work on (it’s fine if you only have one, still make a post for the vote count). whichever wip gets the most votes, write one sentence for every vote received
Now, the thing is, I currently have 27 WIP outlines in my WIP doc, and I want to write them all. Since tumblr will not let me post a 27-option poll, I've chosen the five most likely candidates after I finish the current one(s).
Re: the lack of titles: I am a superstitious creature who doesn't share these in advance, lest the gods and muses smite my ability to string a sentence together. You'll make do. Also, these are all Cam/Palamedes, naturally. 😌
What am I being possessed by next, besties?
Official Sequel to Scene AU
NBTTG bonus entry: missing scene from GTN/Canaan House era
Crimes™ AU
Cam POV swap: extended scene from "I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears"
Crossover with [redacted novel, not the one you think] for shits and giggles

And in the spirit of not being the world's laziest tagger, I nominate @direlesbians, @celira and @searchforthescars :3
(tagged by @heliocharis - ty bestie, I love to procrastinate my chores hehe)
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
53 total. 29 of these are under my current pseud (honeymead). The rest largely date from before The Great Writer's Block (2014-2018).
2. What’s your total word count?
512,505. (Holy shit? I've never looked at this stat before.)
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Right now, and for the last three years, The Locked Tomb. I don't see that changing any time soon. Previous fandoms include Doctor Who, Fringe, and The Mighty Boosh (RPF, and you can unfollow me now if you have personal problems with that; I will not apologise for art).
4. Top 5 fics by kudos:
(i carry it in] - Cam/Palamedes, HTN era. This was the first TLT fic I ever wrote, and was meant to be a one-shot. You all know how that turned out.
Funny Place To Wear Pearls - Doctor/Donna, Agatha Christie episode shenanigans. One of the first fics I ever posted to the Archive, written for a beautiful friend's birthday. <3
fortune's fool and fortune's darling - Cam/Palamedes, who are absolutely definitely 100% not married. (They are. Everyone knows it.)
For Better or For Worse - Doctor/Donna, post-S4 fix-it. This was, at the time, the most ambitious thing I'd ever undertaken. Little did I realise... (It is also the fic that made me swear never to post WIP's again.)
a map with your name for the capital - Cam/Palamedes, (in)famous for what later became known as Broken Elbow Canon. This was the second fic I wrote for this fandom, and where I went "oh no, this is not going to be a one-shot, is it?"
5. Do you respond to comments?
Always. I'm so touched that people take the time to leave me little love-notes, and I have met so many wonderful friends via my comments section.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I haven't written it yet, it's sitting in my WIP's looking at me right now. (I don't think a single one of my 53 uploaded fics ends unhappily lmao.)
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Tie between death, i think, is no parenthesis and the gods will offer you chances. Both are Cam/Palamedes, and both are part of the same series, just different POVs of their happily ever after.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not on them, per se, but I have seen vaguepost hate about them in the comments of other people's fic and on tumblr dot com. To which I say: get a life, lads.
9. Do you write smut?
Yes, and I do so unapologetically. More often I write sweet and tender fluff, because my worst-kept secret is that I'm a romantic marshmallow.
10. Do you write crossovers?
I've done one (Dollhouse/Doctor Who, which I never uploaded outside LJ) and am working on another right now (The Locked Tomb/[redacted for personal reasons]).
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
I've had a couple of fics plagiarised, in a way that made it so very obvious where the thief got their ideas, and all I will ever say about that is: get good. I don't think I've ever had one wholesale lifted and passed off as someone else's work though.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Not that I know of, but it would be cool as shit if someone who speaks better Greek than me would do the scene AU.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I got as far as planning one once. (I do co-write many very silly ideas in my DMs with my besties, does this count?)
14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?
Camilla Hect/Palamedes Sextus. I am so sorry to all the people who knew me in my Doctor/Donna days; I know we all thought we'd found the depths of my insanity back then, but it turns out that we had not even scratched the surface.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?
This is hard. There's a long list of half-started fics from past fandoms that I would One Day™ like to get back to. Several of them have scrivener files outlining why I'd like to finish them (this was a writing exercise to try and overcome The Great Writer's Block, 2014-2018). The least likely of them is probably my Dollhouse fix-it, because I don't think I could stand going back to rewatch a Joss Whedon show now.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Worldbuilding and imagery. Also characterisation, if my commenters are to be believed. Thank you to every single person who has ever told me my characterisation is good, I love you deeply.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Estimating my final word count. (Do not even LOOK at me, JH.) Getting trapped in my own penchant for research and overthinking every word I'm putting onto the page. Worrying about perfection in a medium that can never be that.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?
I love doing this, and you should all be grateful that I don't speak better Greek, I'd be making so many rude jokes.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
The X-Files, in yahoo groups, ca. 1995.
20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?
death, i think, is no parenthesis would have to be Thee Favourite: it was everything I ever wanted to give them, I spent a year researching and planning it and another year writing it, and I am prouder of finishing it than I was of finishing my PhD. Honourable mentions go to (i carry it in], the fic which obliterated my writer's block, and My Name Is David Ruffin And These Are The Temptations, a Cam/Palamedes modern AU into which I poured every stupid and beautiful thing I love about music, friendship, and falling for your best friend.
I would like to tag @direlesbians, who is my newest fandom friend, and @time-converges, who is my oldest. 🥰
rules: make a new post with the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. tag as many people as you have WIPs. people can send an ask with the title(s) that most intrigues them, then you post a snippet or tell them something about it!
I was tagged by the lovely @darlingofdots and I am going to break the rules immediately: there are currently 39 40 WIP's on my scrivener corkboard, many of which are untitled and half of which are little more than a feverish outline of what the fic should be, before I forgot it entirely. Allow me me tell you what living with adhd is really like, kids.
I'm kind of superstitious about discussing WIP's before I finish them, so these are, in no particular order, the ones where I'm least likely to curse myself with instant writer's block if I dare to breathe their names or even look at them.
(You all know me and what I stand for; almost everything in this list is Cam/Palamedes, romance not optional.)
my heart will always be the b-side to my tongue
[necromancy made me]
these wrists, these eyes, these praying hands
"remember that you're using a rapier, please"
The Killings at Canaan House
untitled goose game
I don't even think I follow 40 people on here, so I'm breaking that rule too and simply tagging my beautiful friends @businesscasualprincess, @direlesbians and @heliocharis
Send me "&" for my muses reaction to yours tracing one of their scars.
The countless amout of scars the male had on his, it was really crazy for someone to have so many - but luckily for him it weren't because he had hundreds of stories behind them as well, making him all the more glad he had them, always being reminded of the past and so on. The worst ones were those along his wrists, glad he hadn't cut too deep when he was young and dumb, but they were still there some of them.A stranger had came up to sit next to Luhan on the bench, wearing a t-shirt while scribbling something down for the translator he had to delivery this week. But feeling a sudden touch, tracing the line of scar over his wrist, having him jolt back and hide away his arms, now all of a sudden embarrased to let them show so obviously. "I-- what are you doing?"
