So yesterday I went to an Alice in wonderland exhibit and saw an AatP dress on display!
What's your opinion on the two new colorways for bodyline l457? Sax and Green?
I like them but I don't like that they don't follow the trend of the others by having the base color all over. If they really wanted to do lavender they should have just done three new colorways, lavender, sax, and mint, rather than having the two new ones being mostly lavender with the other color mixed in.
Would I be able to wear red shoes and accessories with bodyline's l457 (without the apron, in black), or would it look too awkward because of the yellow in the pattern?
I think you could probably do it with red shoes but from what I can see it looks like there are only tiny touches of red in the print so I would consider balancing it with at least one or two red accessories.
What d'you think of bodyline's L457 in black?
I think it's really cute. My favorite way that I've seen that JSK worn is without the apron and with the big bow moved to the waist.
Letter #457:
Dear Maru,
Ikaw ang unang lalaking humawak sa kamay ko bukod sa tatay at kapatid ko. Nung oras na yun hindi ko alam anung dapat gawin. Bigla mong hinigpitan. Nagulat ako at binitawan ka na. Siguro isang laro lang yun sayo. Kahit hindi ko alam anung dapat kong maramdaman. Nakamarka na yun sa puso ko.
Is the print different from Bodyline's L483 and L457 because one is cheaper and comes with an apron and head bow, while the other doesn't come with anything.
The print is the exact same. The one is probably more expensive because they offer it in two sizes instead of just one and the sizing is a little different too.
So i really want bodyline L457 in black, but the waist is around 3 inches too small for my waist. the bust will fit fine, but do you think 3 inches is a lot? It's the only dress i really like in my price range.
Three inches is a lot when it comes to getting clothes to fit. If you sew though, you might possibly be able to use a method like this to add extra shirring to the back. I'm not sure if it would work though because I don't know how much gathered fabric that JSK has.
for bodyline's L457, would you recommend wearing it with or without the apron? i have it and it's adorable, i'm just unsure if the apron suits the fashion well.
Either way depending on the coordinate. In Lolita, aprons tend to actually work the best on printed dresses because on solid colored dress it's easier for people to confuse you for Alice or a maid. In the case of this JSK I think the apron is cute but it isn't going to work for everything. If you're looking to tone the dress down, take off the apron, but if you want a super sweet, possibly OTT look, the apron can be a cute addition.
