He is silly
Dave! The man that proves cringe never dies, not even in the zombie apocalypse.
Life is a countdown that we can't see.
Keith x Dave ship fanfic, my first non-au fanfic, hope you enjoy!
I can’t find the original post, but hopefully y’all can see what I’m referencing lol. When your two friends are closer to each other than you. Poor Dave
or
hi it’s me again (i love your art/pos)
What do you think Dave and Paul look like???
I'M SO GLAD YOU ASKED-
Dave absolutely listens to Party Rock Anthem and would have been a vine star if the green flu came a few years later. He also thinks HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA is the peak of comedy.
Paul is definitely the least reckless of the bunch, making it his responsibility to be responsible since he's the oldest. Gets reeeaaal fed up with everyone's antics but he does care. A lot. Not great at showing it though. (But he does try) ((Kinda))
Bucky (Keith's second brother who's mentioned only once in Ellis' stories, doesn't have a canonical name so I named him Bucky) is an absolute bastard and he's proud of it. Definitely less reckless than Keith so he gets into way fewer accidents, but he's also way more mean. Definitely would kick the shit outta somebody for messing with his brothers.
Gods au: The first mortals
Here is a story, one of many. This story is about the first mortals.
The Griffins, sirens and rabbit-born.
The humans, elves and dwarfs were not around, or at least not know of yet.
This story takes place after Keith had created the plants and animals in Deskatop. After the mountains had been raised and the forests filled and the clouds created to form a cycle of water.
"Jeez, you guys need a LOT of water huh?" Keith said to a rabbit that was sitting under the same tree as them.
"It's a good thing Ellis can make things out of nothing, otherwise it's take a long ass time to get it all."
The rabbit looked at him blankly.
"And the whole food chain thing we just made is complex as... Actually i think it's the most complex thing in the universe right now. Glad I got Dave to help me!"
The rabbit blinked, Keith looked at it as he was rambling. It was hearing him, but Keith realised something.
"Can you understand me?"
The rabbit didn't respond. It just started chewing grass.
"You can't can you?"
The rabbit continued to eat the grass underneath it.
"Yeah this ain't working."
Keith stared at the rabbit. Saddened by the prospect that the only things that can comprehend him were Ellis and Dave. Keith did not feel themself lonely in their company, but Ellis and Dave had other things that they did.
And despite all the efforts of Keith, Earth felt empty without the other gods. No matter how many forms of life they created.
This brought them to the memory to how they were made and why. Ellis had created Keith and Dave to not be alone. What was stopping Keith from doing the same?
But what to make smarter?
They looked to the rabbit.
"You'll be perfect."
So Life took the rabbit and began to change it, at first it was just to be the mind that was different, but a large mind would have to supported by the body.
In the end, it looked a lot different then the rabbit it started off as. It's back legs had morphed to be the only thing it had to stand on, with the front legs reshaping more to grab things. The head became much larger than before, the body following suit to support it, and the neck and throat changed to fit the head and a voice alike.
Keith put the newly enlightened rabbit down and waited for them to wake up. Keith expected this new form that was created to wake up like they did, confused but calm.
But this was the first time that it was found that only deities come into the world like this, when mortals awaken, they do so screaming.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Keith didn't know how to react, not only did they not expect fear from the creature they just made but this was the first time anyone in the universe had screamed. So they didn't entirely know what it meant.
"Um, hello there-"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
"This is going as well as before i made you smart."
The first mortal stopped screaming to take their first breath.
"Ah thats better. I'm Keith."
"Greetings? What art thou?"
"... Keith."
"And what art I?"
"Hmmm. Well I made you out of a rabbit... Nah that makes it sound like i killed the rabbit, it was more that you as the rabbit were born again, I'ma call that being reborn. Anyway, think that'd make you Rabbit-born?"
The first Rabbit-born looked around at the world, one they had always lived in but had only now the power to comprehend it in such a way.
"Why have I been elevated to this state of mind?" The Rabbit-born asked.
"I was lonely. The other deities have other things they need to do to keep the universe running but I can't follow them, they do visit but everything feels empty without them. So I made you so the world won't be as lonely."
"But what of me? When these other gods come to this land will you bring me along or cast me to the side?"
Keith thought for a bit.
"I never intended to leave you alone. but I know that I'm not good at thinking things through... How about I make more Rabbit-born, so even if I leave you won't be alone?"
The rabbit born paused, then nodded.
"Well ok! More Rabbit-born coming up!"
Life called forth more rabbits, young and old, and shaped them all into mortals. And they all woke up as mortals do.
Screaming.
"As I said, " Keith said as they turned to the first rabbit-born "I do not think things through."
The noise, while near silent compared to how things are now, was the loudest that had ever been up till that point. So loud that Dave overheard from his place on Mircosoftwindo. So Order descended to Deskatop to see what the noise was.
"Hello Keith how are you- I WAS GONE FOR A DAY WHAT'S ALL THIS?"
"I got lonely, so I made someone to hang out with when you guys aren't around! But them they got worried about being lonely when I'M not around so i made MORE!"
Dave looked out at the group of newly enlightened Rabbit-born in shock. Wondering how Keith had managed to do all of this in under 12 hours.
"What? Did I do something wrong?"
"No no, I think this is cool. But what's going to happen when they die?"
"What."
"Everything alive needs to die, but after I claim them and give them back to you all other living things forget their last life. We know that growing up will reteaching survival skill after they are... do we have a word for coming back yet?"
"Made it a few seconds ago, its reborn."
"Ah yes thank you. The prosses of being reborn takes most if not all memories from the soul, will the intelligence remian?"
Keith looked upon their creations, as they happily chatted away.
"I don't know... It should if i did this right. but they'll have to re-learn things like talking."
Life's creations did not hear, as their bodies were so new to them they did not yet comprehend that they would have to leave them one day.
The two sent some time watching the Rabbit-born, teaching them of the world and how it worked. They walked threw mountains and plains, rivers and deserts, for this was a time before they held danger.
Then they were met with the ocean.
"Now don't drink it," Warned Keith, "It's got a lot of salt in it and that'll just make you more thirsty."
"But what was the reason for this? More water than one can drink but none who can use it?" The first Rabbit born, now called Wyamu, asked.
"Oh we put fish and other life in there! We added salt because it let use make other kinds of creatures."
"She has a point," Dave said. "Compared to the surface, which now has the Rabbit-born, the ocean will have not awareness it in. "
"... Should we make one?" Keith asked.
"I don't see why not."
"What do you want to make them out of?"
They both looked into the water, their divine eyes seeing every soul from the bottom of the sea floor to the horizon.
"How about those ones?" Asked Dave, pointing to school of what we know as the angel fish.
"Sure thing!" Keith summoned the school of fish to him and began to reshape them, their old body's becoming longer and sleeker but not losing their points altogether. Their new torso growing fined arms with hands with claws to grab other fish easier, a neck and head not too dissimilar from the rabbit borns, but more rounded than them and with fins.
Their eyes remained fishlike, being able to change to suit the light from the sky and the darkness of the sea floor. Their scales shined with beauty, yet blended in at the same time. Their mouths grew in size too, the small flexible comb-like teeth growing in size and number to hundreds of rows of sharp needle like teeth, only visible when they open their mouth. They were, finally, given gills so they can come out of the water for small bits of time and talk to the rabbit born if they wished.
Life and Death looked upon this being, and decided it was good.
One of the youngest rabbit born came up and asked,
"What is that?"
"This is another aware race." Explained Dave
"I'll call them the fish born!" Keith said with glee.
"Please do not," Dave sighed. "We need some variety."
"Alright, what do you suggest?" Keith asked Dave.
"Siren!" said the youngest of the rabbit born.
The question had not been for them, but the gods looked upon the child and smiled.
"I think that's a wonderful name." Dave said.
"I think so too!" Keith agreed.
And so it was. The first siren was created, and the first pod of them was not far behind.
Luckily it's harder to hear screaming while underwater. So this time around it was not too bad.
From their place in the cosmos, Ellis had decided to pay Keith a visit. They had been making stars to make the night sky something other than a void and staring into it for so long made them long for the others.
Since Dave was in Mircosoftwindo working on something they called a 'moon' that they'd all name later, Ellis decided that they'd visit Keith instead.
They found both Keith and Dave and around new talking creatures, teaching them things.
"Hey guys!... whats all this?"
The other two gods filled Ellis in on what had happened and what they were doing. And Ellis was overjoyed, they loved the idea of more people to talk to.
"Can we make another race?!" Ellis asked, wanting to be apart of this new kind of creation.
"Ok? out of what?" Keith asked
"A bird! We got the land and the sea, lets put something in the sky!"
"Sounds good, what kind of bird?"
Ellis flew into the sky, grabbed a random bird and brought it down. The panicking creature was a Kea.
"Your wish is my command!" Keith said, taking the poor bird and reshaping it.
This bird grew in size like the other races before them, the wings growing talons on the ends much like a bats, being reshaped to be able to crawl.
A neck was grown longer and upwards, with their eyes facing more forward but unchanging in sight. The legs grew more feathers, as the feathers grew thicker and more able to resist the cold and heat of the sky's and land.
The griffin are the lest changed of all the races. Though it didn't stop them from screaming as they awoke.
"Man these guys are loud!" Ellis said happily as the other two covered their ears from the awaking of last created race.
And that was the story of the first mortals, what happened after is a different one. But that's for another time.
Gods au: The beginning
Here is a story, one of many. This story is about start of the world of which we live.
It's beginning was the end of another. The only thing that existed in our realm when it was born was the corpse of the last one. What that era between nothing and everything looked like is only known to the first and last deity. Creation and destruction embodied. The one who named themself.
"Where am I?" they thought to themself as they came to be.
"What am I? Who am I?"
There was no answer, there was nothing to give one.
As they looked out at the nothing, they was uncontent with it . There was so much space, and so much martial to work with! And despite that nothing was being done with it?
No. They would not except it. But what to make first?
They decided to start small, they called forth nearby rocks to form. They forced them together and created the first planet.
Creation marvelled at it but found that they could not see it. While divine sense allowed them to know it was there, no sight was possible in the corpse of what was.
But they would not abide by that.
They called on the energy inside of them and formed into into another ball.
They threw it into the void, and it landed right behind the first planet. They called this ball of light, Sta-em. But they were shocked to see that this changed nothing.
The trouble was that was that while light now existed, nothing was moving, including the light. The only thing that could move was Creation.
They tried moving everything around, in an attempt to make something work, but nothing did.
Despair welled up in them, they could not do anything else.
Nothing would change no matter how hard they tried. They refused to stay like this but were powerless on their own.
That's when the thought occurred. Why did they have to be alone? They were creation were they not? If no one else is there they will make them!
They called out to their power once again. this was much bigger and more complex than anything made before, but they were determined to see what had been created, to not be alone.
They shaped the energy and-
"Hello?" A new voice.
"Hey!" Said Creation.
"Who are you?" Asked the new deity.
Creation realised that they hadn't thought this through.
"I'm... Ellis." Creation and destruction, now Ellis said.
"Nice!... Who am I?"
".... How about Keith?"
"Works for me!"
They look upon the unchanging existence.
"Can I get your help with something? I made something called light so we could see."
"Sound awesome!"
"Yeah, but nothing is moving."
"I think I know what to do."
Keith, the new deity called upon his own power. Grabbing time in it's standstill and forcing it forward once more. But in haste made it move too fast.
Because while Keith is life embodied, they are also entropy. And everything spiralled into chaos. Of course this wasn't so bad at the time, as everything was currently Sta-em and the first planet. But it made the two deities realise that they may need more help than first thought.
"Huh" Keith mused as Sta-em doubled in size and became so blinding that it took the darkness's place.
"I think we need more help."
Ellis agreed. They needed someone to balance out the energy and unpredictability of Keith. So calling on his power again, He thought of something specific. A natural equal and opposite to Keith.
He shaped the new energy and-
"Oh, greetings." Said the third voice.
"Howdy!"
"Hey! I'm Ellis and that's Keith, welcome to existence."
The third deity was confused. But before Ellis could explain, The third deity, the embodiment of order and death, looked behind the two who came before them.
"What did you two do!?"
"We made time!"
"You made a mess is what you- Look, it's mostly good you just need to slow it down."
Order took the time entropy had started and slowed it down, calming everything into peace. The other two looked in amazement and all three revelled in what they had created together.
"So, um... Who am I exactly?" Asked the third deity.
".... Do you like the sound of Dave?" Questioned Ellis
"I don't see why not."
They look upon everything once again.
"Say... What do we do now?" Dave inquired.
"Whatever we want I suppose."
From there, they created the galaxy as we know it.
They split the first planet in to parts for them to share, those formed to become three planets, ones we now call Xabox-thrisixte, Mircosoftwindo and Deskatop.
And that was the story, what happened after is a different one. But that's for another time.
