Kyouka is doing a very important & serious mission with the Black Wind Division (inclung Shinji!). But black clothes look so good on him, it's distracting...

It's lucky too that his jade necklace looked good on him too, since it's what spared him from getting tainted like the rest of the divison. Who then seppuku-ed themselves to avoid risking their clan's integrity. Shinji was too important to die, and is now a ronin, working from afar for his clan, and fighting everyday the curse that fell on him. Yay!

Kyouka is ABSOLUTELY doing great mentally. That's why he never bothered to tell his companions what happened that night!

Dangerous Duo

Two Crane PNJs, a courtisan and his yojimbo, that us players encounter a lot; we're lucky they're mostly on our side. They appears very respectable, although one is a bit too enthousiastic about getting life or death situations, and the other has a liaison with a certain renewed & scandalous Scorpion artist...

I have a bigger illustration on the way, but for now, here are chibis.

Mataro's shirt patterns are vaguely inspired by Ainu fashion. I want to incorporate more of their culture in my vision of the Crab Clan!

There was some kind of trend on instagram that asked people to draw their Ocs as the normal, child, genderbend & villain version of themselves, and although I'm very late to the party, its a fun idea!

Child: Raised an only child in a luxurious Kitsuki household, Shimon was a good kid, although a bit odd and easily distracted. Her inability to follow properly the lessons of her teachers made her a shy and avoidant. She'll gain confidence later though, thanks to her swordtraining!

Genderbend: Shimon... or Simon? He was fun to draw, with his himbo look. He's probably quite popular, but too dense to notice or care. His chest being more exposed means more tattoos to draw!

Villain: How did she get there? A ronin trying to hide her dragon clan tattoos, her earrings (a gift from a close friend!) gone, her hair unruly, scarred... something went wrong in Rokugan, now firearms are everywhere (certainly not bc of the players) and she's surviving as best she can. Her moral compass gone, she's probably twice as deadly.

OUR CHARACTERS

WHERE:

We are playing in the Empire of Rokugan, the setting of the Legend of the 5 Ring card game and ttrpg. It's mainly inspired by the japanese feodal system, but you'll see a lot of influence from China, Mongolia, and a lot of anachronistic/unrelated elements... It is a very eurocentric view of Asia, there is no denying that. However, its lore, especially the rivalty and alliances between clans and people, create a perfect starting point for great and complex stories. We've played a lot and grown attached to our PCs, and we want to introduce them to you!
