(she's running to her tattoo appointment bc I didn't draw them yet oops)
Animation practice + drawing one's OC is a great combo!
Got a bunch of lil panels of OCs while setting up the new select page. Behold! My stuff! working on bios, but questions and interactions welcome. Im hoping to poke around for RPing again sometimes soon. ^.^
Commission for @redbloodtea! This is Yasuki Haru, a stoic yet compassionate samurai, and his little raccoon dog friend Tofu :D
If you can notice the Daidoji mon on his spear, you may see that its a bit different from the known mon, as i took my reference from the redesigns made by cami843 on ko-fi!
Drawing this portrait was a blast! Thank you for your trust and patience 💫
The most Scorpion-like courtier of the Crane clan.
Im doing commissions now btw, if any of the three people that follow this side-blog are interested!
Quick researches for alternative clothes for Shimon!
Among the PCs, she's certainly the least "fashionable", and she values practicity so much that leaving her classic gear & kimono behind is rare.
Yet it has to happen, sometimes! That's why I wanted to try to design something more ceremonial, loosely inspired by items of Tibetan Culture.
Thinking about fashion in Rokugan is fascinating to me... the official artworks mostly depict japanese-inspired clothes & armor, yet the worldbuilding tries very hard to be more than just "fantasy feodal Japan".
My way of answering this contradiction is that all clans have their own traditional clothing, but these are often overshadowed by the Imperial style, which is preferred among high-ranking samurais as a sign of loyalty...
That Imperial style being itself a less inspired and experimental copy of Crane Clan fashion, that follow our world's japanese historical clothing.
I don't even have an excuse for this abomination.........
At the sanctuary/onsen the characters are currently at, was organized a day of celebration, dedicated to the Fortune of Strength. Which meant... a wacky competition where we had to push huge boulders around, Sisyphys-style, while other teams tried to do the same AND attack us. This is Shimon's, uh, rock-pushing outfit. We won of course, thank to the power of friendship!... and the power of ennemies rolling terribly. But who's there in the public, watching us? The woman we've been tracking for at least ten sessions???
