YO.
Seems Maakun has studiet Mariko very well.
In Citrus Breeze III there is almost 10 minutes of La Cantata.
Plus the pre finale is Jesus Diamante.
Then the Elisabeth duet dance hommage.
YEP. Maakun I SEE WHAT YA DID THERE.
YA A GOOD SIENNE MAAKUN.

This is doubtlessly one of the best revues ever made.
Que tu Dios sea canción compuesta con el corazón, y que tu país sea a donde te lleven los pies.

Ayaka the great. Because I found another version (different performance) of my favourite revue ever, La Cantata. I think “Temptation” is even better in this version. Except the actual sex-on-the-table move, that one’s more fluid in the other version. And “Heat On” is slightly better in the other version because it has more Mariko closeups and a clearer view of the otokoyaku pelvic thrust down on the floor.
On a related note, I’m struck by how identical different performances of the same show are. Such a well-oiled machinery! I often only notice it’s a different version because of unfamiliar camera work - here it was the closeup of the hands. (And Ayakas dress is suddenly strapless - rather, has invisible straps. And Hacchi looks much more babyish somehow, she must have subtly altered her makeup between performances, and I suddenly noticed she's short too.)
You don't know how much I fangirl-squeed when I found Casanova/La Cantata on YT! The revue is splendid from start to finish but when Icchan, Yan and Yuri all came onstage in the finale to sing "Sayonara, goodbye, we'll never forget you" with Shime I almost cried on the commuter train.
Hoy mis lágrimas se quieren suicidar, acurrucadas, morir en tu piel, han nacido secas tienen sed, mi llanto hoy sequiere morir...
