Lady had been assigned covering the Triton v Patts case. It was a very hush-hush kind of assignment. She was surprised that it had been given to her, but with everything else going on, Ms. Morales and Mr. Determined were both very busy, and she had already met Paul Patts, which was more by happy circumstance than anything else.
But, any good journalist got both sides of a story.
It was not hard to find where the girl who was being sued worked. Her father was, after all, on the board, and the family seemed to be well-liked in town, which just--made things more interesting, if you asked her.
“Hello,” she called cheerily as she entered Whosits and Whatsits, “I was lookin’ for a--Miss Attina Triton? Do ya know her, by chance?” She gave a friendly-lookin’ kind of smile.
