SPOTLIGHT ON ROCÍO CERÓN:
I’m very much looking forward to Monday’s event, which will take place at a beautiful home in Silver Lake and is co-presented by McSweeney’s, Phoneme Media, and Black Mountain Institute. There will be drinks and conversation and readings. Please remember to email me for the address: ruiz (dot) zoe (at) gmail.com
One of the readers that evening will be Rocío Cerón whose book Diorama, published in 2014 by Phoneme Media, won the 2015 Best Translated Book Award for Poetry. Her books of poetry include Basalto (2002), Imperio/Empire (2009), Tiento (2011), Diorama (2012), and Nudo Vortex (2015). Her poems have been translated into English, Finnish, French, German, and Swedish, and she has performed her work at venues in Denmark, England, France, Germany, Sweden, and the United States.
So looking forward to seeing you there!
