Hey Twilight side of Tumblr do you think it would be a good/effective idea to ask/encourage the actors who were in the movies to donate to the Quileute Higher Ground project? The ones who are active on social media, at any rate? Full disclosure: I'm nightblogging right now so I can't tell if this is a bad idea or if I'm onto something.

Shaded Hearts Ch 1.

Ophelia sighs as she watches her mother move about in a mad rush. “You’ll need this... oh and this.... maybe this too....and... well, why not-

“Mother,” Ophelia says, her voice soft and gentle. “I’m only going to be a state away.”

“My baby girl is going to college, you’re the first ever in our family.”

“That’s because they never really had colleges around when you were her age.” Ophelia’s older brother, Polaris, walks in with a bored look on his face. “Can you just let her pack her own things, mother, this all is getting very dull.”

“I’m just so proud of her, Polaris, and I don’t want her to forget anything.” Polaris glances at his sister and smirks.

“Just wait until you are getting ready for a wedding. She’ll be ten times worst.”

“I was not that bad.”

“I was half afraid Emerly would just say no when we got to the wedding with how nuts you were acting.”

“Polaris-

“Guys!” Like always Ophelia’s oldest sister, and wisest sibling minus their oldest sibling, broke the argument. “Today is a memory filled day. My baby sister is moving away and going to college. She doesn’t need Polaris making it all about him or mother crying over her clothes. Both of you get out and allow me to help Ophelia get ready. She’ll say goodbye to you when she is ready. Now shoo.” Ophelia’s sister, Aries is very much like their father. She has this way about her which just screams confidence and power. She can clear a room faster than anyone with just a single word, even their mother can’t say no to her.

Ophelia watches as they all hurry out of the room before looking at her sister. “Thank you, Aries.” Aries smiles and goes to Ophelia’s closet, opening it up and packing her clothes up.

“Today’s a big day.”

“Yes, it is.”

“You’re growing up.”

“I know.”

“And to think only 20 years ago you were just becoming a Shade. You’ve come along way little sister.”

“Thank you, Aries.” Aries smiles at her younger sister before zipping her suit case up.

“I finished packing up all your clothes and I see you already packed up the rest of your belongings. It seems you are all set.”

“I believe I am.” Ophelia nods as she looks around her room.

“Do you already have a place to stay?”

“Yes, a nice woman by the name of Sue is allowing me to stay with her in a small reserve called La Push.”

“Hmm, sounds interesting.”

“The history of it is very fascinating. Sue’s daughter has just gotten married and moved in with her husband, so it’s only Sue and her son, so she has been needing another girl around the house supposedly.”

“Yeah, sounds like our family.” Aries smile. “Regulus accedes the thrown this year with his wife Sol and their son Matthew become a prince, while Polaris has already moved out with his wife and has a baby on the way. Then, of course, baby brother Tyler will become a shade next year and now you’re moving out. It seems I’ll be left with mom and dad.”

“Aries...” Ophelia pauses and looks at her sister. “You have always been one of the most focus person I know. You’re not just living with mom and dad, you run your own fashion company, you have been traveling the world in order to give people wedding dresses, red carpet gowns, and so much more. Honestly, you’re becoming one of the most famous people ever.”

“And I’ll have to give it up soon.”

“Aries-

“I’m 50 years over 16, Ophelia, my age is still the same as when I was supposed to be 20. It’ll begin to become apparent and I will need to go back into the shadows until another hundred years and by then the fashion world will probably have changed so I would have to try at something new once more.”

“I....” Being half immortal or immortal at all is hard for anyone and everyone. Ophelia has yet to truly discove the hardship of life with immortality, but she already knows some struggles people have with it.

“Enough about me, today is all about you.” Aries smiles. “And today you are ready to set foot in Washington.” Little did they know that Ophelia’s life was going to change more so than anyone could have prepared for.

Shades

Shades often get confused with vampires or at least what humans believe vampires to be. If anything the vampires that the humans know are more like Shade then actual real vampires. For one thing, Shades can’t enter sunlight without turning into ash, they also have super speed, super strength, super senses, except instead of blood they feed off human energy good or bad.

Shades are very good at hiding themselves from the knowledge of humans. Most supernatural creatures don’t even know Shades exist. Shades are an ancient being that has been around for millenniums. They have the ability to become almost invisible when in the shadows and they also use the shadows to teleport to different places. Shadows for the shades are almost a gateway or a portal.

These beings have the ability to turn their teeth all to razor sharp like points and their nails can grow and become sharp from will power. These beings are much faster and stronger than vampires or wolves due to their age and they are also able to produce offsprings. These offsprings, similar to the wolves, grow up almost completely human until the age of 16. Up to the age of 16, they only have the weakness to sun and the super senses before turning 16. Once they turn 16 they gain all their abilities and half immortality. I say half immortality because Shades do age, but they age a tenth of human’s speed of aging, so it almost seems as if they don’t age at all.

Shades, like all species, have a ruler and their’s are a king and a queen. The king and queen of this century has many kids and the importance of both their race and the mention of their kids is the sole fact that their youngest daughter, Ophelia, is coming to Forks, Washington and the vampires and wolves located there are going to have their handsful when she gets there.
