I bet $1 that he can’t get his act together to hire a truck to take any substantial furniture. He’d rather leave it in the apartment as a “free” storage unit.
Oh, I’m sure that’s it. But what’s stopping him from leaving a list saying “I’ll be taking X, Y, Z”? Just the fact that I’ve asked for it, repeatedly?
I fucking hate him for this half-assed, piecemeal leaving. You wanna go? Fine: GO.

Upcoming Travel Schedule
Pre-Check is worth every penny! If you wind up going to Paris, I recommend Global Entry. You can do your ‘interview’ upon returning to the US and it’s still faster than waiting in the customs line.
That’s on my list! Thanks for the reminder!

I know he’s trying to be helpful, but E has been...
I am the same way. I feel like I don’t need work advice from J, so I completely shut down when he tries to give it. Even though it’s helpful sometimes.
Yeah, I've been changing the subject with, “Can we cool it with the work talk? I already put in my time today.” and he gets that. But also...just don’t? Ever? The extra petty part of me also does not care for it when he starts throwing around marketing jargon and asking about our strategy and he a.) stop it - that’s gross and b.) he knows we’re a small team and hiring for people to spearhead this shit so why are you asking me if we're doing XYZ because you know we’re not - yet! Why be smug? Gah.
There’s also the ever-present vibe of, “OK so this is fine for now but what are you doing to get promoted/I think you should go this route” and like...can I have my 90-day evaluation before I come in guns blazing demanding a new role? And am I ever going to be enough (not to mention make “enough” money) to satisfy you? Sorry I'm such a terrible embarrassment.
@la-animaux - As a frequent business traveler (it’s like traveling for business ladies) if you have any tips for saving your sanity, please share! I’m already pretty good about not over-packing and being efficient but there’s always room for improvement.
@maritsa-met - That is completely fair and reasonable. I will not hear otherwise.

It’s new mattress day! My lower back is going to...
What kind did you get? I am in the market for one.
I am so embarrassed but the specific brand is escaping me - I can give specifics when I get home! But it’s considered the Goldilocks type of mattress: not too soft or too firm. I like a little more support and E likes a little more squishy so I think this will meet our needs nicely! There are Labor Day sales and even pre-Labor Day sales popping up all over so even if you aren’t ready to buy today, I'd test drive some and then pull the trigger when the prices drop.
