I‘m starting in a new lab and my supervisor is the most sweetest person ever. I was a bit scared because the professor demands a lot from his students, but it seems manageable right now at least. My phd student and I have a bit of communication problems because I can only speak German and English (we ignore my poor French skills) and he speaks Mandarin and no German and his English isn’t very good, but we somehow manage to understand us most of the time. I‘m looking forward to working in this lab for the next 6 months or so:)

Maybe one of these years I will stop unnecessarily panicking before my annual appraisal meeting at work
(Not just Outstanding overall this time, but Outstanding on each individual element on my appraisal 😁)
Three days of Chemmy being Acting Boss Lady Chemmy (Friday, Monday, Tuesday) and then Chemmy is off until January 5th
