Monday Musings
It turns out that those plastic bags with the movable zip-loc-type train-car-esk thingies at the top that secure the seals don't work well at -80 degrees Celsius. Hey, at least now I know.
Qualifying Exam Proposal: DRAFT submitted!
When I hit the send button, shooting my qualifying exam through cyber space to my qualifying exam committee chair, I realized it's been more than 2 years since I submitted such a large (14 total pages including cover and bib, which really isn't that large) document! But oh how time flies. And how nice it is to have my thoughts down on paper (insert electronic metaphor I'm too tired to come up with here) and have the proposal out of my hands for a while. I always seem to know when I need a break from writing when I can't stand to look at the piece even one more time... certainly there is always word choice and punctuation to improve, and I'm looking forward to hearing some scientific feedback regarding my project, but if I don't (and I won't) see it for 24 hours, I'll be grateful.
EndNote
Why it took me nearly 2 years to start using EndNote is beyond me. Graduate students of the world, don't wait as long as I did. Try it today.
Happy Friday!
I mean, yeah. Who doesn't enjoy starting and ending the week with 12hr days?
