Lab Tama Updates for July 2026 Introduce New Features & Locations
Another update is headed to the Lab Tama, and this update is nothing like we’ve seen before.
First, a new feature “Raise a Big Tama” which will allow you to care for the big Metafoamtchi together on Lab Tamas in store. This will be replacing the Tama Watch feature currently on the Lab Tama.
With “Raise a Big Tama” you’ll feed Metafoamtchi, and use toys to play together. Your choice of food and toys might even affect the species of your Tamagotchi and cause Metafoamtchi to change. Different Metafoamtchi can be found at different Lab Tamas, so try seeking out and caring for them in different stores.
There will also be downloadable items that will also change along with Metafoamtchi’s appearance, be sure to visit different shops and see which ones you’ll get.
Second is a new area, Tamacho Camp! This will replace Poo Park. We got a sneak peek of this one a few weeks ago. This is a new mini game where you’ll connect your Tamagotchi Paradise device and pull a heavy truck! You’ll earn prizes based on your score.
Tamamacho Camp also features new mates to breed with. Play the breeding game with Shykutchi and Gorimatchi, who can only be found in Tamacho Camp! Beating the game will allow you breed with either character, and you can inherit some of their genetics.
There are also new downloaded items in Tamacho Camp, be sure to connect your Tamagotchi Paradise device and download!
The update starts rolling out to Lab Tama’s worldwide on Thursday, July 9th, 2026!
Lab Tama: Pacific Island to Replace Savanna Land in March 2026
Move over Poo Park, there’s a new location coming to the Lab Tama! Starting on March 12th, 2026 Bandai Namco will be pushing out an over-the-air software update to all Lab Tama’s globally which will unlock a new location, Pacific Island. This new location will unlock new Tamagotchi characters to breed with, new mini games, and limited release items!
First, the mini game which is Barber Shirotama! You’ll assist the Shirotama is cutting hair at the barber shop by counting the characters. You can win exclusive southern-themed prizes.
Prizes include Clownfish Glasses, Koala Headband, and Kangaroo Pocket Plush.
Second, try to fall in love with new exclusive characters with the breeding game. If all goes well, you can breed and pass those genetics onto the next generation. The two characters are Koarabutchi and Kamonohatchi.
Third, you can download exclusive items by connecting your Tamagotchi Paradise to the Lab Tama. These are also southern-themed, and there are toys and foods! This includes Kakapo Shaved Ice, Coral Lamp, Wave Pool, Didgeridoo, and Wallaby Mochi.
It is important to note that Pacific Island will be replacing Savannah Land on the Lab Tama, so please be sure to connect your Tamagotchi and get your downloads before Thursday, March 12th, 2026!
Lab Tama is Coming to the United States!
For the first time ever, the Tamagotchi Station/Deka will be available in the United States! That’s right, this is huge! The Lab Tama is a large Tamagotchi Paradise looking device that allow you to dock your Tamagotchi Paradise in the base and experience exclusive content!
On the Lab Tama you can view new planets that are being researched at the Tamagotchi Lab in addition, you’ll receive special items. Play mini games, and earn cool prizes.
Bandai Namco US has confirmed that these will be available all over the country, and not just featured at Bandai stores! Bandai is still shopping around to see which stores will carry these. More information to follow soon!
