Could I ask for your headcanons about Bixbite and her girl? I've got a handful of my own ideas for them, but I thought it'd be fun to have a consensus on their lore. Also since they're basically your daughters.
The next chapter of the fic I'm writing will feature them pretty heavily! Current working title is A Double Date! (Mandated by the State)

OH MY GOSH YES I'M SO SORRY goodness knows why I never seem to get dm notifications (and goodness knows I need to check more) YES ABSOLUTELY I CAN SHARE MY LACEBITE HCS!!! please bear with me here because I've never actually written anything down and it's been a hot minute since I've thought a lot about them both ... ALSO I did type this fairly late at night and early in the morning, so forgive me if it's confusing anywhere LOL I'm more than happy to elaborate on anything or answer any questions :D AND THANK YOU FOR ASKING!!!!

Lace Amethyst is, like other quartzes, fairly loud and brash around friends. But being around Bixbite brings out a playful sort of gentleness, if that makes sense? She still has that rough personality of course, but a new version of it shines around Bixbite. She becomes eager to please, more than willing to make a fool out of herself just to entertain Bixbite.
Bixbite is a naturally quiet character, never really finding a reason to speak and generally speaking through actions, but being around Lace brings out her inner chatterbox. Bixbite is fairly reserved and fine with following someone else's lead, but she finds herself taking the lead around Lace. It's almost like their traditional personality roles as gems swap, if that makes sense at all? Like, big and strong -> still big and strong but with more carefulness and awe .. or quiet and content -> talkative and restless (but in a good way)
Overall they do bounce off of each other's personalities, and it's clear that, even when they're apart, they've rubbed off on one another while also retaining their original traits.
I like to picture Lace taking Bixbite on walking dates through Funland, or maybe they'd walk along the beach and Lace would pick up the weirdest looking seashells, or maybe they'd find a soft patch of grass to lay in and stargaze, pointing out the stars they recognize from previous jobs or specific constellations... i think Lace is a secret astronomy nerd. She definitely has a lot of passion and leads with her heart, even if that ends her up in a lot of trouble because she yelled at some poor clueless tourist for feeding seagulls. She's also a big fan of wolves, and became a werewolf for Halloween! Naturally, she's quick to anger, but that noticeably fizzles out around Bixbite. She's still impatient and all that, but she's fine with taking a few more minutes if it means spending time with Bixbite.
Bixbite is passionate too, just in a different way. She loves to look at art and finds herself in awe of the world around her, no matter how many times she's seen it. She took up drawing as a hobby, though she does find it difficult sometimes when she only has one hand. Still, she pushes through, wanting to try her best to capture the beauty around her. She's probably the biggest fan of abstract art, something about an artist telling a story through color and strokes... Something like that, anyways. She more than enjoys her job at Fish Stew Pizza, especially because she loves serving people and making them happy.
I like to think they first really got to know each other when talking about adjusting to life on earth. I think Lace Amethyst was already crushing on Bixbite, and was just trying to strike up conversation to know more about her. (Bixbite caught onto this almost immediately, Lace wasn't very subtle...) They discussed their roles when they served Homeworld, they talked about how they thought of the Crystal Gems, and eventually their conversations flowed so naturally that they didn't even need to think of what to say next, it just happened! This probably led to a very blunt and awkward confession HAHA
but don't get me wrong, they're both 100% losers. losers in love
