The scarf wrapped around Lachesis’ shoulders like a shawl has been through much. The fabric of it is not quite warm enough to be practical, the size awkward for her slight frame--but she wears it still, has worn it as often as she can, for more years than she cares to think of. Sometimes, if she wraps it tightly enough around herself, she can imagine it is an embrace, no matter how worn (despite countless careful washings and mendings) it might be. It is one of her most treasured possessions, on par with the Earth Sword she’d left behind, and yet...
