Though the style of the clothes themselves is unfamiliar, it is the purpose of them that is even moreso. It is not as if he is unfamiliar with the concept of dressing up for festivities, for events--but there had never been much of a chance to do so when all the money their little group had was better put towards necessities such as food or more durable sets of clothes.
“It is not for fighting.” Despite the words, he still keeps his sword close by his side. Habit will not allow him to go unarmed, even if he’s currently holding a bouquet instead of a blade.
“I’m told it’s for some sort of celebration in the castle. Though of course, I am prepared to fight in it if need be.”
