it is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation..
if you lack creativity and you're only a combination of people/things you've encountered... that's whatever, not everyone can be original and with all the people in the world these days, it is a little impossible to have a 100% original thought/action..
HOWEVER!
when you observe others and pick off pieces of them to imitate and claim as your own.. you suck.
i am, by no means, an original person.. i like what i like and a lot of others do to.. but my thoughts and the way i say things and do things is my own and when i see that perfectly replicated in someone, i get annoyed.
do you really need to save a post from my tumblr, and repost it on yours as if you're the first? do you really need to tell people you thought the things i told you crossed my mind? are you so insecure with yourself that you'd actually want to be some one else and do it secretly? you're a fraud and it's disappointing and disgusting. at least own the fact that you'd be a blank slate if it wasn't for the lives and art created by others.
