They’re wrestling. This fight didn’t start too formally (not that many of them do), driven on more by back-and-forth provocations than actual reason. But it’s escalated into the physical, and nobody’s backed off yet.

They’re starting to learn each other’s tricks, too, which is what makes it so goddamn hard to get a proper grip for her favorite move. But this time she manages, not without taking a hit to the face in the process.

She links her arms around his waist, and arches backwards to flip him over--

And then her head hits the floor. And she’s upside-down. Somehow, she’s the one being suplexed?

Charlie stares for a moment. Squints his eyes, rubs his neck in thought. This guy? Alligator guy? Looked familiar. Like, he couldn’t figure out where he’d seen him before. Things like this weren’t real right? Was he hallucinating? If he was, it was a weird (repetitive?) hallucination and a strangely real one at that. Usually there was more stuff happening in his head, usually not in whatever dimension he was in. But this seemed really weird, like, weirder than usual. Dream-like almost. Was he in a dream? Had he been in this dream this long? ❝ ... Holy shit, am I in a coma? ❞ Charlie manages after that long period of time of just staring. Shit did he just talk? Was he talking to himself that whole time?

“Wh...you’d wanna work there? Really?” Mizi felt like crying. He was overwhelmed by joy and other positive emotions. But for the moment he managed to keep his composure. 

After wiping a tear from his eye, he clasped his hands together and nodded. “You-- I know you have experience with managing stuff..but...even if I hired you as a manager...I’d still be...your boss. Are you okay with that?”

Filia looked around the Fibonacci ward, trying to remember the layout of the place, but...remembering was hard. Samson was bugging her under her hat for something to eat, and to be honest, she could go for a milkshake right about now! 

Tapping the shoulder of the closest person, she held her hands behind her back once their attention was gotten.

This is some serious rage. Gregg had experienced something like it when he first got here, and quickly moved on to a sort of... acceptance. But this is a sign it doesn’t really end, huh? It’s a repeating cycle if you’ve got people you care about, and it’s something that can and will hit you more than once. He’s not all that certain how to act... but he’s gotta do something.

“Scriggins-- hey... you have got to cool it. You told me only a month ago it’s something that just... happens... and I get you’re pissed! I am too! But there’s no sense in air-threatening some young girl and breaking everything you’ve got! You wanna do something, yeah? We have to affect the city itself, you know? This is their place, what they want us to exist in...”

Gregg knows this is a stretch since Scriggins’ took up a life of no more crime... but...

“If we show them we’re upset, maybe... we can get answers. Maybe we can go back? Maybe we can even set things to how they should be! But you gotta sober up and cool it first! You’re not even lucid!”

   Of all things, of all places she never thought she’d step into... Mae was at the gym. She stood in front of it, trying to consider her choices, for once. She should’ve just stayed inside, listening to songs and messing around on her phone. But people say exercising and beating shit up help calm the nerves?

   She’d definitely take the opportunity to punch anything right now, and so, taking a deep breath, she walked in. Not even a second, and she could feel a light stench of sweat as the people around were each doing their thing. And, in the very last second, she wished to back up again, but at that point she already got spotted by a familiar face, meaning she couldn’t back down now.

   This was a mistake.
