blech. well… I'm slightly relieved that it's not just me (because I've had issues with Chrome refusing to display fonts and sometimes images correctly lately and nothing I've done to fix the thing has actually stuck), but… ugh, I'm sorry you're all dealing with it too, bbs. :/ ♥

yeah, it should be anyway? I just updated it the other day so I could install the tag fixer add on and because X-kit Guy said it was probably a good idea to update now. :/

ha, yeah, exactly. and like… I'll still complain I guess because my default assumption is to blame tumblr for this as opposed to blaming xkit and definitely as opposed to blaming xkit guy. because like. why would you blame xkit guy for anything. he's the nicest freaking person, it would be like kicking a puppy and then pretending to throw a ball but hiding it behind your back once the puppy forgives you for kicking it.
seriously, the fact that people are mean to xkit guy is one of the reasons why I might eventually give up on PhD school and just jump right into being a supervillain like… I mean. sure it would be great to be Doctor Mx. The Gloomblight and to be able to use my fancypants advanced degree to lord my dedication to EEEVIL! and the study thereof over people and say things like, "I didn't spend six years in evil gender studies graduate school to be called Mixter thank you very much" and pointlessly insist on being called Doctor the way that Jack Sparrow insists on being called Captain. …but I could really be the supervillain that this world needs and wasting away in graduate school just to be called Doctor sounds sort of detrimentally selfish.
especially because we live in a world where people think it's acceptable to be douchebags to Xkit Guy. and a lot of other reasons too but that's one of the big ones. …but all that being said, I will gladly complain about tumblr and blame them for stuff because unlike Xkit Guy, they don't believe in things like listening to their users' feedback or being transparent about what they're doing to the site or fixing things that actually need fixing as opposed to "fixing" things that aren't broken or anything that would be, like, conducive to tumblr being a better social media platform.

It’s happening to me, too, though to be fair I don’t know that it’s tumblr and not an XKit issue. -shrug-
true… but I'm willing to give Xkit and Xkit Guy the benefit of the doubt because they don't jerk me around or spring all kinds of updates that I didn't want on me without any warning and without any ways to opt out of them (like excuse you tumblr, but the lack of ability to opt out of unwanted bullshit updates is why I don't use my LJ as much anymore unless I need to whine in relative privacy about any given thing or post prompt tables for any given reason).
