After John passes, Mary travels to Sussex to visit Janine at her cottage. Sherlock had retired there a few years earlier and promptly began to rebuild the apiary. Janine still occasionally threatens to dismantle the hives–especially when Sherlock’s experiments migrate into the kitchen–but she (not so) secretly loves how much the bees improved her gardens.
