All good - I have just been ridiculously busy the last two terms, so all the nice, relaxing things have had to take a back seat. (I'd say tragic, but I have, at least, been able to subject poor, unsuspecting students to learning Classical Greek, and also... Alexander the Great, which brings me great joy. 😂)

Hopefully I'll be back a bit more, especially now work is quiet (until September, anyway)!

🗡️ - What was your Rook’s lowest point? Their darkest moment?

Viera's darkest moment... it was definitely shortly before she got herself recruited by the crows. she was barely eleven when one of her only friends, a bit older apprentice who somewhat... took her under her wing in away, was made tranquil. for weeks Viera was inconsolable... that turned into fear and anger, and eventually a motivation to escape the mage tower which led her to beg a talon visiting the circle on some secret crow business to take her in. the crow recognised her determination to escape and they offered her a deal... a contract even. it was risky for both of them but they were curious how far Viera would be willing to go. she was tasked with sneaking lethal poison into the knight commander's food or drink. for her first successful assassination she was promissed recruitment into the guild. revenge for her friend and a way out? Viera felt like she had nothing to loose as she desperately didn't want to end up sharing her friend's fate. with her fingers tightening around the poison vial, Viera looked the assassin in the eyes and coldly asked if the commander will suffer. when they denied she felt a little disappointed but followed with the plan nontheless... and smiled watching the templar in charge drinking his poisoned wine. the rest is history.

🏺 - What is an object Rook carries that’s connected to their past? *If N/A, what is an object Rook remembers most vividly?

Viera doesn't really own any trinkets from her past lives. she was a very young child when her guardian shipped her off to the circle and when the crows took her from the tower she owned basically only the robe she had on her back. her memories of the short time she spend growing up in the elven quarter of Rialto are rather hazy. Viera remembers immaterial things more than any tangible objects really. like the ever present smell of fish & sea or screams of seaguls waking her up in the morning... when it comes to the time she spend in the circle she most vivdly remembers the stained glass windows of the tower's library depicting various scenes from the chant of light she used to stare through imagining how her life outside could've been.

🕯️- What is your Rook’s happiest memory? 

it's an increasingly more vague memory but every now and again Viera likes recollecting running around with her friends and causing trouble in the neighbourhood before being taken to the circle. she can barelly recollect kids' faces or names but every now and again she's coming back to the feeling of being carefree. at least for a little while.
