LOOK WHO CAME AROUND JFC HIIIIII
lady-ursa started following you.
Iroh peered quizzically at the elderly woman sitting an a magnificently cushioned chair, to a young boy she looked so ... old. He counted his mother as old as well, but the Fire Lady Dowager seemed to be something else altogether. And yet, there was a certain glow around her. "Grear Grandma?"

our minds are troubled by the emptiness
He looked up at the star-sprinkled noir blanket above him in distaste, casting aside the figures fabricated by those same fairy lights illuminating the night sky before reluctantly halting his apathetic stroll down the street of this unnamed town. Zuko was positive when he arrived in the late afternoon, sporting a confident walk adjacent to Katara, that it had been specifically identified as all Earth Kingdom towns and cities were. However, now the name slipped from his mind, the confidence that he once filled him at his arrival falling away from his posture with the importance of the town. The firebender had decided to steal a few days for more searching of his mother, something he could only do periodically and for a few days at a time (no more than a week) because he was currently the paramount political figure of a nation corrupted by a century of propaganda delivered by his forefathers. His royal advisers had warned him that there was no time to search for his long lost mother, especially since there was the probability that Ursa had deceased or even move on completely.
However, Katara had urged him to have hope in finally discovering his mother's whereabouts. Although he had pushed her away, told her she didn't understand and he was to do this by himself, she had stood her ground, stubborn tendencies showing as usual, and told him she was helping him. Zuko had been distraught and aggravated, flinging fire around in his frustration, but after an accidental and unfortunate burn to the waterbender's arms and a panic brought upon the Fire Lord at the thought that he had burned her, the two talked it through and he had given in. As she had demonstrated, if there was anyone that understood his pain concerning his mother, it was her; and she had been correct. People could observe his tragedies as a child, stand by his side during all the turmoil of his teenage years, and be with him during his triumph, but that didn't necessarily mean they understood his pain as Katara did, a person who had experienced the same thing and most likely had blamed herself for her mother's disappearance as Zuko still did.
How could it not be his fault? And even now, as he went from town to town searching the vicinity in hopes of catching sight of a familiar face that kept slipping his mind. The details were fuzzy such as the warmth of her embraces, the sound of her laugh, and the comforting scent that had followed her, almost embedded in the clothes she wore. It was all practically lost to Zuko from the years spent apart, concerning himself on other difficult matters. He desired to get it back, to gain some sort of closure concerning his mother, but so far his wish was falling on deaf ears. He had stolen a few extra moments alone, tired and irritated at his lack of success to stroll around the empty streets of the town in the dark of the night. Ozai had done no help with hints or locations and Azula was just a clueless as him - it seemed useless.
