THE LADYBROAD LEDGER ISSUE #2 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS!
The Ladybroad Ledger is a group of female and nonbinary cartoonists from the Burlington, VT area. Our goal is to produce a FREE twice annual newsprint publication to promote comics and comic art by femme Vermont cartoonists and distribute it throughout the state.
If you’re a lady-identifying, lady-presenting, or lady-like person who makes comics in Vermont and would like to get involved, we would love for you to be a part of our second issue to debut in the Summer of 2017!
▷▸ GUIDELINES ◂◁
There is no content restriction for this issue! Write & draw whatever YOU would like to - whether it’s kids-friendly comics, auto-bio, journalism comics, fantasy fiction, anime fight scenes, etc. Sex, drugs, & excessive swearing is totally permitted. Just keep in mind that these will be distributed for free (sometimes at businesses) throughout VT. We will be slapping on a “Not For Kids” warning on the cover, if needed.
The newspaper will be printed at 11.38" x 17”, with a color cover and black & white interior! Each artist will have ½ or 1 full page to fill up. This space can be used for one long comic or several small comics. Please let us know how much space you’d like to use, beforehand.

This publication will be curated if we receive more submissions than we have room for.

Please email your completed high-quality .PSDs, .TIFFs, JPGSs or .PNGs (or a download link, if your file’s big!) to [email protected] with the subject “Summer Issue #2” Submission.
Name your files like this: “artistname_01”, “artistname_02”, etc.
In your submission email, please let us know if you would be interested in drawing an ad.
The deadline is May 1st, 2017!
All contributors are guaranteed a request up to 20 copies for distribution. More can be requested on a case by case basis, but must be distributed FOR FREE.
By submitting to The Ladybroad Ledger Issue #2, you are allowing us the right to print your submission in the paper, and to post it on our website & social media platforms.
