How did Aphrodi meet Asra?

originally i had them meet as kids, like Asra did with Muriel, but i decided to bump it up a few years so they meet as teenagers.

Aphrodi came to Vesuvia as a stowaway to live with his great-aunt after his parents died of sickness.

He stole from one of Lucio's shops, and Asra helped him escape by taking him to Muriel's hut.

Aphrodi was more than just enamored with him.

Where do you reference your outfit inspo for ASOIAF characters ? Specifically the lady of the Dreadfort piece. I love your art!!

I usually search for references on google or pinterest... Not the most professional sources 😔 But with the right search terms there’s some cool stuff to be found there...

Usually i first try to find a region in the real world that matches the location of the asoiaf character i’m going for... Sometimes i already know that the fashion will match and i just try to find good references, other times i go through several different regions until i find one that fits the character well... I often/usually also combine some different regions or countries if it fits better or invent some elements myself, since I am drawing a fantasy character so they don’t have to be a 1:1 equivalent to a realworld region.

Usually if i don’t have a specific fashion in mind i try to fidn a real world inspiration that has a similar climate, or is in a similar latitdue, or where i know/it is very likely grrm has taken inspiration from.

The lady of the dreadfort is inspired by slavic fashion... It’s been a while but i believe the headdress is a modification of traditional russian and polish headdresses i had as references, the dress might have been russian too!

Hey im making a presentation for my school GSA about WLW subculture (mostly butch/femme) and I was wondering if you knew of any useful resources for my research ?

oi ! i actually (sadly) don’t have too many other than the stuff that was kindly linked to me here, and you can peruse my butch/femme tag for anything that might be in there. my first recommendation is usually reading stone butch blues but i’d be careful of that one if you’re quite young just because it’s very rough and does touch on some topics that might not be appropriate to put into something like this. that’s something that you’re gonna see being referenced and recommended a lot so please tread carefully around it! try other things for this project.

if any followers have resources to share PLEASE comment or reach out! i’m lacking in academic resources so anything like that that’s NOT written by radfems would be much appreciated.

I like onions because I was cursed to. In the book im listening to rn characters just eat raw onions with meals it's the worst thing ever.

Volcanic ash goes really far he'd have to evacuate like a 10 mile square radius at least. I still dont think a volcano can be stopped but it buys everyone time to flee

I’m pretty sure he could move a bunch of canoes TEN MILES using his waterbending, esp if he was powerful enough to redirect a volcano. Focus his power on moving the boats + airbending a barrier to keep the ash off them, and that’s way less output than FIGHTING A FUCKING VOLCANO

We really have the opposite hair problems huh. Mine's super thick even tho half of it is shaved off so my hair is an oily mop atm. Everyday I am stuck inside I get closer to taking my crafting scissors and cutting it short again. I miss my whimsical poofy chin length hair :((

Oh no, my hair is INCREDIBLY thick, it’s just also very fine. My hairdresser loves it, she always says it’s too bad I keep it so short because it’s such good hair (not in a “are you sure you, a person I perceive as female, want short hair :/” way, just like it’s good hair). Basically like, my individual hairs are fine but there’s a LOT of them. (And yeah it is oil city if I don’t wash every night, which is another reason I keep it so short. I do not have the money for the amount of shampoo I’d go through if I had to wash long hair every night.)
