more seriously like...... what do you want out of spn? that’s 300 hours of your life. like if you watched every episode back to back it would take nine days.
do you just wanna revel in the deancas? i can probably dig up a deancas reclist. there was a pretty good one floating around a couple weeks ago, and i’m sure my followers could find one for you. but then you’ll miss some of the best eps of the show (like “mystery spot”) or queer dean staple episodes (like “it’s a terrible life”) or solid characterizational meat (like “dark side of the moon”).
do you want just “when it gets good”? you could always start from season four, which is a common recommendation, or was way back in the day, though if i were gonna recommend a late start i would actually go with three, which is a really solid season, one of my favorites. no cas yet, but some really good stuff. but like. spn never stays good. each season is a different beast. four and five are really solid, but like, six? six is a slog. six is the most meaningful season to me, emotionally, but it is a slog. seven is even more of one, and it’s way less funny now that it’s no longer the 2012 presidential election (the villain of s7 is fantasy mitt romney). eight is super destiely but everything else about it sucks. nine and ten are ALSO like that except even more depressing and with even less destiel. spn doesn’t truly like. start to get good and stay good until like, halfway through season eleven. twelve and onward is good straight through until the last two eps (lol) even if fourteen drags a little, but those seasons are only good if you’re already into supernatural, you know what i mean? like those seasons are good because they’re like. supernatural becoming ABOUT supernatural.
or do you want the full experience? the whole buffet of terrible beautiful garbage? if that’s what you want then godspeed and i wish you luck but i have to tell you: it’s a lot.
